local dealer warned me against getting elite warranty

from infinity of scottsdale

i went in today to see if he could beat courtneys price. i didn't tell him upfront what i was quoted for so he pulled out an official book from infiniti and said $1800 for 1 yr (lol)
I told him courtney quoted me at $2000 for 4 years, his face went
He then told me to be very careful buying this warranty. He told me to verify that it's FEC or FEH in the name of the warranty because he doesn't think it's a legit Infiniti warranty.

So my question is how are some dealerships able to charge such a low price? If Infiniti sets the price at a certain baseline how can Scottsdale sell it at a loss? Has any one had complications with these warranties?

I went back to my dealer 90 days after buying the car.
Got total 8 years/120K miles for $1800.00

Mine says FE, and I know it's an Infinit Elite, as I called twice for my approved contract.

Remember, the dealer makes 100% markup at the time of sale, when you're sweating trying to get out of there!!

Bought my warranty through Courtney at Scottsdale Infiniti. The first time I went in for an oil change at my local dealer I asked them to pull up car's record and see if the Infiniti Elite extended warranty was on there. Yes it was.

The price the first dealer showed you in the Infiniti book was the price of the warranty at full MSRP not what its really costing the dealership. Finance guy at the dealership did the exact same thing to me. Must be in their training.

The warranty books are a double mark up, which is retail. They do need to sell it at a profit or there is no reason in selling it at all. Finance managers only get 8-13% commission on profit, so lets say retail is 2500, that's a 1250 profit that's only a 125 commission. Not that much. Now when they start marking it up over retail and then show retail as cost, thats where I have my issues
