Anyone ever buy from Texas Direct Auto ?

Hello again everyone.

In my lengthy search for a G37 I have come across this site/E-Bay Store.

Apparently it is one of the biggest EBay auto sales stores.

And the actual brick and mortar dealership is rather huge.

I have come across a couple G37s that could be promising.

However, the reviews are very mixed. Many reviews praising them for how great they are. And also many reviews claiming how horrible they are.

The scary part, is they have an F from the BBB.

So, has anyone dealt with Texas Direct Auto, or know of anyone who has?

Texas Direct Auto - The World's Largest eBay Motors Dealer

If so, how was the experience. How was the quality and condition of the vehicles?

Thank you once again.

I don't know anything about their bbb rating. My brother in law has bought 3 cars from them in the last few years, one just a couple months ago. Never a problem. He thinks they're fantastic.

Thank you. I feel a bit better about them now.

I guess they are similar to CarMax. When you are a company that big, that does huge amounts of volume, you're bound to have some bad reviews.

They are different than CarMax. CarMax is a vast network of corporate owned dealerships all over the place. Texas Direct is just one enormous independent used car dealership located in Houston. I don't know how many vehicles they have, but it's a lot. Their lot used to be the lot of the largest Chevy dealership in the country.

They're not accredited with the BBB. No rating.

Nice. Just as long as your bro in law had good experiences with them, and the vehicles were good quality vehicles.

They definitely have good prices.

Hmm, might be flying to Texas in a week or 2. Maybe it would be worth it to have it shipped over here for around $700 bucks.

Let's see. Plane ticket - $2-300. Gas for the return drive home - $200. Hotel room if I need to get some sleep - $60-100 and not to mention miscellaneous expenses.

Damn, why can't a local dealership have a decent G37 I can buy....This is mentally draining.

I just bought a 6mt from them a couple of months ago. The salesman was pretty cool. I personally like the way they run business, they don't chase after you once you set foot in the door till you buy a car. They wait for you till you make your decision. I was pretty impressed with everything overall. When I looked at the vehicle, the tire thread was almost gone and curb rashes on all wheels. I wasn't worried about that at all considering I had wheels already for the vehicle. But when I went to pick up the vehicle, they replaced all the tires with new ones and fixed the curb rashes on all the wheels. There isn't much wiggle room in the price, I could only knock off $500 off my price but the price was fair already as is.

I thought in your other thread you posted that you found a vehicle in Seattle and even went as far as putting down a deposit?

Yep. Found it today. Found it listed online, emailed them. Talked to them for a bit, and put a deposit down (credit card over the phone).

Certified Pre Owned from an Infiniti dealership.

Much more peace of mind then buying non CPO sight unseen.

I fly out this Monday.
