That much down on a lease is never a good idea...

Do not take this deal.

Way, way too expensive. Not enough miles. Huge downpayment.

$350-370/mo plus tax (depending on where you live), no less than 15K mi/yr and no downpayment whatsoever (1st month's pmnt at signing is the absolute max you should do) - that would be a good deal.

Don't let them take advantage of you on this car.

Thanks guys for your inputs.
I live in Bay Area, CA.
My credit score is around 630. Do you think I would get a deal for $350/month with 15k miles/ year?

Please suggest. Thanks

I live in San Diego, credit score in the high 700s.
Leased a 2013 G37 Premium with Nav for $389 (incl tax) for 24mo/15K mi per year.
No downpayment, just the first month's at signing.

Mine's a sedan, coupe might be a bit more expensive to lease, but their offer is outrageous.

Thanks again for taking time to reply my queries.
I contacted other dealers and they said it would be $400/ $500+/month with ~$2000-$3000 downpayment, 12k miles.

The first one seems to be better.
Pardon my ignorance. Am I missing something? Credit score doesn't matter to lease?

credit score with high 700's = $389 * 24 = $9336
mine is in low 600's = $269 * 24 = $ 6456 + $5000 = $ 11456
Difference = $2120

If I ask the dealer to reduce the downpayment to $3000 or $3500 with same monthly and 12k miles/year. Will that be considered as a good deal?

P.S: I am planning to own this car after lease period.
I have a VPP too.

Those numbers are very high especially given you are VPP. Having said that, you may not really have a choice as there are very few 2013 G37 Coupes left. The dealers that still have them are going to charge whatever they want because they know you can't shop it.

This could be it. Getting a good deal on the sedan was no problem, all it took was 2 days of painless online shopping and some phone calls.

Still, there were some offers that did not make sense to me, even on the sedan. If you are dead set on the coupe you may eventually have to overpay.

I would not put any money down on the lease. Not worth it. Shop online (fill out autos.yahoo.com forms for Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego) and get quotes that are reasonable.

Also, I'd get 15K mi/yr if I were you- G37s are fun cars to drive and you will like driving them

Thanks ejhyun. Q60/G37 wouldn't make much of difference for me. IMHO both are same, except the names.
I thought G37 is an outgoing model and would have more discounts on it. As I am an international student, been here around 2 years, I couldn't build my credit score to a good number. (I am not sure if this affects a lot in lease other than finance)

The dealer said G37 (premium pck+ navigation+ other add ons) MSRP is $47k
When I add the total (monthly +down payment) & VPP deduction I will be paying $41k, which is $2k more than a good deal, if I understand it correct. ($389/month without down- payment, 15k miles)

Thanks again guys for responding to my questions patiently.
I checked it online and can see invoice ~$43k.

If I get a deal with $3500 down-payment and $269/month, or $419/month (without down-payment), 12k or 15k miles. Can I sign it considering I will own the car after the lease?

$419 WITH tax is more of less acceptable with NO money down, ZERO drive off and 15K miles/yr.

I'd still bargain with them though.

Not to hijack here, but I am about to BUY a 2010 37S coupe 6mt with 26K on it fully loaded for $27K + taxes and crap. I am putting 12K down and financing the rest...for 72 months my payments will be $292. Will probably refi after a year or so, but would you guys take that deal? It was a 1 owner lease return with factory warranty still in tact btw.
