09 370Z Touring

27K miles. Sport package. NISMO exhaust. Ugly inexpensive wheels.

My brother in law is looking to buy it. Dealership asking $32. I think that's at least a little bit high. I said to offer $27.5 and walk away if he wont go under $30.

What's a fair offer?

Sounds a bit high go to edmunds.com and check out the true market value. Here in MD its looking like 25700 for a touring 6mt with that mileage for dealer retail...

Shows $27K Dealer retail in his area. That is so much lower than KBB value at $32.4k. Any idea why?

They don't use KBB on trade in so why look at it for buying? Look online you should see that price sucks.

Actually, within 300 miles of his location comparably equipped cars are selling at dealerships for about $31K and a little over (autotrader.com). Closer to the KB price than the Edmund price given above. I'm not looking for a trade in price, I'm looking for the retail dealer price.

Edmunds gives you the average of what people are paying for a car in your area regardless of what kbb or nada or whatever book value you are going by...

Those prices seem kinda crazy. You can get them way cheaper out here in the west at least. 26-27k with under 20k miles.

I am curious as to what he got it for or if he walked. Touring models are pretty well loaded up and new can run well over 40K.

He bought it. I don't know what he paid and I'm not going to ask. If he volunteers the information I'll post it here.
