Question G37 coupe lease. Am I being tricked or is this a good deal?

I currently have a mazda (2010 @23k miles), the buyout option is around $16K. I checked with infiniti dealer a couple months ago but they said once they take my car I would end up paying around $560 per month for 2011 G37 coupe, so I just walked away..
they called me yesterday saying they will give me a much better rate as it is the end of the year. I said I don't want to waste my time if they are going to do the same thing. He said they will pay for the buyout ($16600) and will offer me something with three hundred.
long story short: I went in today and they offered me $398 per month ( talk about something w/ three hundred) for 12k miles per year w/ 39 month lease. there is no money down however the taxes+bank fee including first months payment is $2900. We said we need to think and walked out even though they insisted we need to put a deposit to have this deal later on.
oh another thing; while sales person was talking about 2012 model, he sent the details of the 2011 g37 coupe via email:

$44,455

Premium Package, Body Color Splash Guards, Carpeted Trunk Mat/Cargo Net & First Aid Kit, 50 State Emissions, Literature Kit, 3.7L V6, automatic, Blue

Is this a good deal or not ? I am not very experienced with leases so I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

they are actually having him put 2900 out of pocket down. Bank fee is 700 dmv is prob around 400 and first payment of around 450 (if the 398 did not include tax yet) so you are still putting around 1400 cap reduction

I guess somebody is deleting my advice to use truecar? I saw that commercial and gave it a shot when I was looking at pricing and it was the best price and no questions..so my advice is use that quote and figure out what the lease payment should be from there.

truecar is great, but be careful as they quote prices for cash purchase, some incentives they include are not valid with leasing or financing.

I walked in and got that price on my latest lease, which was far less than what I was negotiating with another dealer. I'm sure some of the better deal was the inclusion of owner loyalty, but in reality it says it's the price. And it's not hard to say "if that's not the price I ain't buying".

I just wanted to share since it helped me save a bunch on a lease.

It depends on a car and on a the current incentive program. If you are getting a Qx56 - Truecar price will be the same whether you buy, finance or lease. On other cars - often there are incentives that are specific to the way you are buying the car.

You are right, it is not hard to say "if that's not the price I ain't buying", but if your goal is to buy a car, and the dealer cannot do what you want him to do - how is that going to help you?

The only thing that can change is the cash incentives on the car for buy/lease so know those numbers. I don't go blind anywhere. I check edmunds.com for the incentives and know what the difference is.

As I said I was talking to two dealers and when I pulled up the truecar they didn't hesitate at all..on a rare G37s Sedan MT. But stick to the lowest number and eventually they will give you their best deal.
