First off, thank you for reading this (as it's my first post!)
I'll cut to the chase. I have two options on cars at the moment:
G37S - 6MT, fully loaded (white on black)- $ 36,535 OTD (after trade in)
G37 IPL - 7AT, fully loaded (Malbec Black on Red) - $38,000 OTD (after trade)
I really love the 6MT, but I feel like the IPL is so much better. For 2500 I get the Aero kit, exhaust, sick paint, "exclusive branding" and a ton of flame from this board (i've been reading around lol).
What would you choose?
Edit: Also, they don't have any other 6MTs within 250 miles...

It really comes down to this question:
Do u see yourself potentially swapping to any of the available bodykits currently on the market? If your answer is a resounding "No" then go IPL. Otherwise the normal G is the right choice.

If you want to mod, buy a used car and use the cost differential on your dream stuff. If you like warranties, but want a different look go for the IPL.
I would have bought the IPL but this was last year and the dealer was still sticking to the MSRP and I picked up the coupe for $10k cheaper.

have them ship a 6mt in for you. no matter what the IPL has to offer, you will 100% regret not getting a 6MT.
I took a 1 way flight and drove my car home over 1500 miles. There were ZERO 6mt's up here in MN.

If you plan on Modding, I would agree that the IPL should not be your choice and you should look at a used 6MT S model and completely transform your car into what you want and get even better performance than the little added extra that comes with the IPL with the money you will have saved. If you have no plans to mod... and can stand auto, than pick the IPL and from my count, the difference is just under $1500, not $2500 so yes you are getting a better car for about the cost of a good exhaust (and by good exhaust, I mean a better exhaust than the IPL but you get the aero and "exclusivity" with the IPL).
Either way, you will still need a drop and to flush out either stock wheels or get new ones all togther. Haha short and simple, you can mod an S to be better than an IPL with only bolt ons which do little for our cars... you can also mod the IPL but you will be upgrading the parts that make it an IPL... I am basically just typing at this point as there are smaller particulars that could be argued about either decision but I hope you can derive some sort of point from my ramblings...
either way, I am also very excited for you and good luck with your choice!

OP: If you like driving the manual transmission and think you might be inclined to modify your car -- definitely go with the 6MT. If its about aesthetics, the IPL will look awfully good sittin' in your garage!
Enjoy "The G", in either case.

I change my mind... Buy the IPL as we need Infiniti to get all of the sales they can on that car so they realize that there is interest in their performance line and start making an IPL even more heavily upgraded in the performance aspect eventually!!!
IPL FTW! Buy buy buy! Automatics are the new way to go anyways! Much quicker than any human can shift!

Thank you all for your input!
I've decided to get the IPL because it's SUCH a good deal and looks good right off the bat. I don't have extra funding to throw around on mods so I think the unique paint & interior is wonderful for me.
I agree on the rims needing to be upgraded in the future. I plan on Vossen CV2's.
When my financing is finished, I'll be sure to grab a more "refined" 6MT IPL when they come out.
I also like hearing people say:
"This guy didn't just get a G, he got the BEST ONE" (stole that from another tread).
I'll be sure to post pics accordingly =)

I wanted AWD, so I had to get 7AT.
