Inventory/Availability versus End of Year Pricing on 2011s?
We've been looking at used G's, but are wondering how much of a discount we might be able to get on a new 2011 now that the 2012s are starting to come out.
Does anyone know what kind of a discount we could expect?
Buying new, we'd want an xS model with Nav, pretty much loaded... Sticker on those is 43-44k for a sedan.
If we wait another month, do you think prices would drop more, and when will availability become an issue? None of the dealers within the area have an xS currently, so they'd have to arrange something with another dealer already.

It seems like Infiniti comes out with their new models later than most other dealers...closer to the end of the year or first of the year...my local dealer doesn't have 2012's yet.

Availability may keep you from getting the price drop youre looking for, especially on the xS all optioned up.
Tsunami really messed infinitis production up. Took my dealer almost 2 months get me my coupe. I was pretty picky about options and color combo, but that's not normal for aug-sept.

I know in my industry we are seeing more issues with products coming from Japan and the suppliers are saying it will get worse because they had to operate on stock in inventory after the tsunami affected factories. During the time they had to use stock from inventory, they were not producing products to replenish stock.
I'm in the semiconductor industry, but I'm sure the auto industry is affected in the same way.
