I'm a bit confused about this. I was under the impression that no matter who you buy the car from, private or dealer, that the warranty automatically transfers as long as it's within the 4yrs or 60k miles.

But when looking at some used cars online the dealer says 30 days or 1k miles warranty etc... Is this on top of the manufacturers or does this mean the car does not come with the manufactures warranty?

I figured it follows the car and not the owner. So what's the deal?

 

Factory warranty follows the car.

Maybe the 30 day 1K is refund time.
