Input appreciated: G37x Maryland lease

Hi all-

G35x 3 yr lease is coming up this week (nothing like waiting until the last min) and I'd like to lease the g37x. I have some of the info and would appreciate members input & confirmation on these numbs.

I'll come back one more time with the rest of the numbers so that I can do this deal. I wanted to get your input *before* negotiating price, Premium Pkge, Interior Accents Pkge, etc

Other quick questions:

- Generally speaking, do you recommend a 36 or 39 month lease?

- Dealer said NOT to get car inspected by Infiniti before turning it in, that there's a tax advantage to me if they buy it outright or something like this. Car's in great shape. Does this make sense to you?

- Is bank/acquisition fee set by IFS?

- Dealer says there is a difference in TMV for lease & buy- is this true?

Can you guys confirm + let me know if these numbers R valid & any good:

Term: 39 months
MF: .00075 (top tier credit)-> what I'll push for, dealer quoted higher
Residual value: 56% -> what I'll push for, dealer quoted higher
Allowable miles/yr- 12,000.
Bank/acquisition fee- $700.
Doc fee- $200.
Owner loyalty- $1,000.
Title- $50. (tags transfer over)
Tax- 6%
Destination fee $895.

Thanks! Mitch

Is this a Sedan or a Coupe? Do you have the MSRP?

1. I would recommend 36 bc some states pay yearly registration fee based on the car's value. I had a 2008 328i before and I had to pay $800 a year to register. 36 months = 3x registration, 39 months = 4x registration.

2. Never heard of this. What is the current mileage of your G35x?

3. Yes, it is $700.

4. NO. Not true.

G37x Sedan: 36 month | 12k miles | residual 60% | .00083 base money factor
G37x Coupe: 36 month | 12k miles | residual 62% | .00086 base money factor

Sorry, I don't have any lease info on 39 month program.

-> Thanks for the reply! I'm in the process of getting addl info.

-> Sedan. MSRP is 41,220 (includes 895. destination fee)

-> 30.2 (out of 45.0 allowable)

3. Yes, it is $700.

4. NO. Not true.

G37x Sedan: 36 month | 12k miles | residual 60% | .00083 base money factor
G37x Coupe: 36 month | 12k miles | residual 62% | .00086 base money factor

#2 - Yes, there are some tax advantages to selling the car to the dealer as a trade-in in SOME states. Texas comes to mind. I believe MD might be the same since you guys pay taxes on 100% of the purchase price.

#3 - IFS' standard bank fee is $595. If you are getting charged more, it's probably dealer profit.

#4 - TMV is crap btw. Go to TrueCar.com and find out what the local sale price is. It is true that in SOME cases that your sale price is different on a lease than a purchase. This is typically the case when you are trying to tap into cash rebates that are only available to purchases and not leases. Also, dealer marketing cash is usually given out at dealer discretion, so they can do whatever they want.

Thanks for the advice. Re: the following, went to the dealer today to lease g37x, 12,000 miles, top tier credit. He told me the following. Can u pls tell me if he's lying:

bank fee- said it went from 595.-> $700. in March, 2011

MF- said .00083/36 month is a 'buy rate'. said 'lease rate' is .00139
said .00096/39 month is a 'buy rate'. said .00149 is 'lease rate'
