Did I get a good deal

I wish I knew about this site before I got my car last weekend.

I got 2011 G37 Coupe Sport Package black on black with 7 miles.

2250 at closing, 39 months, 420/month, 12,000 miles

I wish I would have gotten more miles for the price cause I feel I'll go over and pay more later.

Thanks

What was the MSRP and cap cost? At first glance, I wouldn't say it's a bad deal. Also, what's your tax rate?

Well, I did some quick numbers on edmunds.com and I had to add some features to get the MSRP to the price you provided. Using a tax rate of 6.5%, the base money factor and residual, it looks like you got the car at invoice price (~42,200). I would say that you got a decent deal. I'm sure there are a lot of people on here that may say you could have done better, but there are others who will think you did fantastic.

If you wanted to up your lease to 15k miles your payment would be around $450.

Next time go to zag.com and see what they come up with.

I saved 6k off msrp off new '11 vert with zero haggle factor.

Thanks for the help. Here is some more info on the purchase.

At signing = 2250
MSRP = $45,825
Adjusted Capitalized cost = $41,725
Texas Sales Tax 8.25% $89.66
Acquistion Fee = $595
Dealer Doc Fee $125
Residual Value = $29,328

During the negotiation I really pushed for 15,000 miles knowing I'd go over the 12,000 but they said in most cases if I renew, Infiniti would drop the fee.

I can only drive 32 miles/day and instead of enjoying the new car I'm worried about it. I should probably just slap myself and enjoy my new G37.

Based on MSRP and residual value, your residual rate was the same as mine (.64), but I got a 15K lease. However, my calculations put your payment at 440 so the money factor must be less (.001 vs .0015). What was the money factor. I don't know the March residual and MFs so my numbers may be slightly off. IFS will change the rates and residuals, but it ends up being the same for the buyer (pay more in one area and less in another).

Either way, you got a decent deal. Be happy and enjoy your car.
