Question on G37x (coupe) pricing

Sort of a general question: I got an internet quote on a 2011 G37x . . . Quote was approximately $5,000 under MSRP.

During a follow up phone call, the woman indicated that she would be willing to negotiate further. Any thoughts on how much wiggle room they have, and what a reasonable counter-offer would be? Are we talking typically $1,000 . . . $5,000 . . . $500? I really have no idea.

Thanks in advance

it would be good to know what options are on the car, so we can tell you she wasn't screwing you over with the pricing in the first place.

Assuming this is a dealership you're talking about, it seems like a standard negotiating tactic to get you in the door. I went through the same thing as I was shopping for my G.
Every email exchange or call ended with (we can discuss when you come in) until I essentially said I had no intention of wasting my time, and theirs unless they were willing to commit to matching or at least getting close to the number I was quoted via Zag. They finally said they couldn't do it, challenged me to find a better price than what they were offering. I picked up my G the same weekend from another dealership (for the price I was trying to get them to match.)
Check out my post about amex auto purchase network if you want to get some pricing ideas.

Regards,

Whatever options he chooses, $5K below MSRP seems pretty good to me.

Yeb, I agree. Assuming it's a x coupe w/ premium, 5K under MSRP is about 2K under invoice.
