My purchase experience

Here is my purchase info.

Emailed 8 dealerships within 300 miles. I had very specific requirements regarding the car and accessories. Four of the dealers wanted to work with me. After doing the best I could letting the dealerships compete with each other I finally threw out the VPP plan "D" request. Much to my surprise the VPP beat the best quote by ~300. So here are the specifics:

2010 G37 Sedan Journey Moonlight white, wheat
Prem.
Navi.
Maple accents.
all season mats
cargo net, first aid, trunk mat.
illuminated kick plates
splash gaurds

$36080.00 All, minus taxes
249.00 Doc
120.00 title registration something
Delivered to the house from ~200 miles from dealer.

Brewbaker Infiniti
Montgomery AL.
Very pleasant experience!

Very interesting way for you to go about shopping for car.
The purpose of VPP is to buy the car at pre determined price without negotiation. Sounded like you were almost successful in getting a deal closer to VPP. I think you could have even negotiated say $300 or $500 cheaper the best quote and you could have beaten VPP, but you would never know since you took VPP deal.

Sounds good !!

I got as far as I could before exposing the Vpp. That was my original plan. I had hoped to beat it but did not. I believe the fact that I wanted a specific car and options contributed to that. Keep in mind that price is without the state taxes.....it was 38000 with taxes.

Free.....that was not decided until the deal was done. It actually worked out for the salesman as he needed to take a trip near my home for personal reasons.
