Just leased another G

Hey guys,

Just turned in my 36 month lease on a 2007 G35S sedan and got myself into a slate blue G37 sedan with Prem/Sports/Nav. I was going to try out a 328i (yeah, I know..) but this deal was too good to pass up. I ended up paying less than my previous lease and got more miles (i paid $453 and had 15k/yr). Here's the break-down:

2010 G37 Journey with Sports/Prem/Nav/Splash guard - They told me the owner drove this car for "2 months" the car has about 5100 miles leased as a brand new car

MSRP - 41,585
Selling price - 36,021.69
Total out-of-pocket - $3000 (1804.6 drive off fees and 1195.4 cap reduction)
Mfg incentive - $1000 (add towards cap reduction)
Ajusted Cap cost - $33826.29
36 months / 18k per year = 402.81 per month including CA 9% Tax

I thought this is a pretty good deal, what do you guys think?

honestly thats way too much.

Im assuming you got the June incentives which I heard are AMAZING......from what I heard, especially with the 3K out of pocket, you can get the same car for less than $400 (thats brand new, zero miles)

second you're saying the car has 5k miles on it....driven by the dealer....so its a demo car.....should be cheaper.

lets see what other people have to say

Youre crazy, there is no way to get that car new with premium sport and navi for under $400/mo with only $1195.4 cap reduction.

Currently, there's total of $2000 worth of cash/incentives and pretty good lease rates.

I bought an 09 coupe.. deal I couldn't pass.. you can see the thread below.. However I was looking at getting a sedan..

G37X Sedan (which is more than journey)

Navi/Premium/Sport. $509 TOTAL OUT OF POCKET

$469 a month.. that was with 12k miles a year..

I also looked at same car, with JUST premium/sport.. $396 a month with $1700 total out of pocket.. I think that car being a demo + $3k total it wasn't that good of a deal.

I don't think many are going to get less than $400 tax included. Maybe he could have gotten a better deal, but it seem like it's pretty good.

Great Deals (June)

I have been looking at the deals weekly/monthly for the past 3 months now as I am looking when it would be a great time to lease! Looking to get into the 2010 G37 Journey/Prem/Nav. Recently, I have seen/heard ads for the G37 Sedan Journey/Prem (no Nav) for $319/mo -- w/ $3499 down @ 39 months. This is the best deal I have seen ... which may mean I should strike soon!

If you're looking for a good deal learn how a lease works. The deals that you read in the paper are actually RARELY the best deal you can get. Those are deals both the dealer and the manufacturer like.

If you add nav to that deal it will be well over $400/month with tax for a lease. The better deals will be right before a model year change.

Easy way how to figure out if you got what you should've...

MSRP of the car * Residual % = Residual Value

Cap Cost - Residual Value / 36 Months = Monthly Finance Fee

Cap Cost + Residual Value * money factor = Monthly Interest Fee

Add them together and you get what your payments should be..minus the sales tax.

btw your money factor should've been .00107 with I think a 56% residual value for your mileage.

June deals are crazy good. They are offering G37 journey coupe with premium package here for $349 month for 10k miles, $1500 initial payment(first month, bank fees, etc), $0 Down, $0 Deposit, 39 month lease. I'd rather wait till my lease is over and hopefully get the model refresh.
