Hey Guys, newbie here. So I had leased an 08 G35xS 12/29/07 with every possible option. Sticker was 42350 or so and I gave them 5100 out of pocket and walked away with a payment of 419/month for 36 months. I was in there this week getting an oil change and my car has 20,500 miles on it and is due to be turned in this coming January, so in about 10 months. A sales person got a hold of me and started talking me into getting out of my lease early. My 08 is in perfect condition and they wanted to buy me out. I have since agreed and this is what I came away with.

2010 G37 xS dealer demo with 1600 miles on it, Black on Black with Sport, Premium, and Nav. Sticker is 43,250. Finalized price of 37,174.

Im handing them 1,000 out of pocket and they are combining with 1,000 owner loyalty to get me to about the same monthly price of 428. MA sales tax jumped to 6.25 percent recently, thus the discrepancy. Does this sound like a good deal? My thought process is I'm getting a new 3 year lease with 1000 out of pocket and then the same monthly payment for a car with essentially all of the same goodies, and a bit higher starting sticker price. Im a little scared of the demo but they let me take it over night and it seems like its in excellent condition. Plus my old car I beat on it pretty good when I first got it and its held up fine. Thoughts?

 

$428 w/ 1k down on a 43k car is very good, IMO. If you keep your old car, you might need to replace tires very soon.

South of Boston. Went to Prime. They tried pulling a fast one and instead of it being 1000 out of pocket they made it 2000 at the last minute. We had negotiated the deal and then they took a 1000 dollar security deposit to hold the car and tried keeping it. What a joke, got them down to 1650 but I still wouldnt take it.
