How would WAITING help when selling a used car? I have a news flash, values tend to decrease with time, not increase.

You want to "try" and sell a 2 year old car for $36000 when someone can buy a brand new identical car for $38000 without haggling? That definitely is some strong stuff. Pass it along.

 

i dont mean waiting for a long period of time to sell it like next year, i mean posting it for the price you want to sell on craigslist and not posting a 'MUST SELL ASAP YO' ad, putting it for what you want and waiting for the eventual buyer to come along

and i have no clue what youre smoking if you can get one of these for 38K NEW. god almightly id have one if they were that cheap new. maybe where you live?
In raleigh NC and charlotte NC, the cheapest i've EVER seen a G with the sport package sticker for is 41K. In the OP he clearly states the sticker price was 44K. that is about where most of them fall, 42K-44K

The closest one in mileage has DOUBLE what the OP's G has, and its still 35,995; five dollars off my guess of what its worth.
the next one is 34K with almost triple the mileage.
The only exception to this is DONOHOOAUTO on ebay; they have 1 for 33K and a non-sport for 30K; they are one of the biggest (they may have recently taken first place) car wholesalers on ebay.
In my area on CL: 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe
quadruple the mileage and an automatic for 33k - i know itd be worth the extra 3K to me to get the 6MT and have 30K miles on my warranty, not ~5K left

I think the average Joe could pretty much get close to that deal as the market is now in Cash-for-Clunk hangover mode. Selection is poor, but the deals are there.
