Exclamation a lot of Q's from a newbie .... plz help

hi there guys ..
i'm from the middle east so my english is not that good , but i'll try to make my questions as clear as i can.

first , i'm living right now in (saudi arabia) and i was hoping to buy a G37 here ( u don't see alot of G's here and a new one will coast around 53k ) and it's to much for me , but i'm leaving saudi arabia to San Antonio, TX for about a year.

i want to buy a second hand G37 in the US , i would like it to be fully loaded ... how much will it coast me (approx) ?

is the car reliable ?

is it a good comfortable daily drive car ?

would it be a good idea to export the car to my country after that ?

when is the car going to change or have the face lift ?

by the way i'm driving a 300C for almost 3 years now... and i think its time to change

thanks in advance .

Hello Maen,

You're not too far away I'm from Dubai myself. My advice to you, unless you want to get it with a manual transmission, just buy it locally. They are pretty reliable, but some come with faults from the manufacturer, just like any other brand. My compressor failed for example after 28,000 kms and was replaced by the dealer at their expense. You don't want to end up getting screwed becuase your G isn't warrantied from the dealer in KSA if something goes wrong with your transmission for instance. I'm not trying to scare you here lol but you have to keep those in mind.

Now, You want comfortable, go for the non S. You want sport seats and stiff suspension (less comfy but sexier to drive) go for the G37S. The face lift isn't coming too soon, car's still new (probably 2012 )

So to clarify, you want ship from the US to KSA then ship back in a year because you're going to TX?

Sam

Hey m3n,

First of all welcome to the forum
1. i dont know how much it will cost but I'm sure someone from the US will chime in.
2. i cant say anything about reliability because i only had it for 3 months now. but until now there was no problems.
3. Sam is right about getting a non S version, but for me the S is comfortable enough for me and its my daily driver also (as you know already i had a SRT8 and the G is more comfortable)
4. If you export it here be prepared for the battle you will have with the dealer (Al Hamrani) because i heard they will not service your car if its not bought from the Mid East, but I'm not sure about that, you will have to ask them before you do anything.
5. i dont think there will be a face lift anytime soon.

Except for not having warranty service at a dealership in KSA, I think that might me a great idea that might save you $20K USD off the price of a new car. I don't know the cost of shipping and import duties though, you have to factor that in as well. It is quite high in some countries to import products from the US.

thanx guys...

but even the warranty from our dealer isn't that good , so if i'm putting 20k in my pocket ( or for mods ) i'm willing to take the risk .

the shipping cost is around $700 and they charge 5% of the cars value.
