Help me lock a good lease deal! (SoCal)
I'm working with all of the LA / SoCal dealerships via e-mail to do as much of the leg work I can before bothering to go down there. So far this is what one of them came back with.
Model: 2009 G37 Coupe Journey + Premium, Sport Packages and Spoiler (non-navigation)
Term: 36 Months / 12k Miles
MSRP: $43,125
Cap Cost: $41,374
Money Factor: 0.00300
Drive Off: $805 (after $500 owner loyalty rebate)
Payment: $653 + Tax (roughly $706)
I want my payment under $600, to which he suggested I simply put down $5200, which is crazy talk.
My credit score is just below 700, so I don't think I can do much to budge the MF without putting down a few Multiple Security Deposits.
My ideal is to put down $2500 or less, and have a TOTAL payment of around $570 after taxes. Do you guys think I can achieve this? Edmunds says the invoice price on this configuration is $39,566, but I don't know how accurate that is. I obviously want to take full advantage of the economic crisis
Thanks!
** UPDATE: I called him on the fact that IFS is offering .00279 and he changed it without saying anything
Here is what he came back with. It's still not low enough, and the down is still slightly too high. What do you think?
Capitalized Cost...... 42,402.67
Cap. Reduction........ 2,669.27
Tax................... 206.87
Doc Fee............... 45.00
Gov. Fees............. 8.75
Bank Fee.............. 595.00
Advance Pmts.......... 615.11
License Fees.......... 372.00
Total Cap............. 43,414.67
Total Drive Off....... 3,500.00
Cap Reduction......... 2,669.27
Net Cap............... 40,745.40
Less Rebates.......... 500.00
Residual....59.00% ... 26,998.40
Cash Due on Delivery.. 3,000.00
Total Depreciation.... 13,747.00
Rate.................. 2.790
Depreciation.......... 381.86
Term.................. 36
Rent.................. 189.01
Subtotal.............. 570.87
Tax................... 44.24
Monthly Payment....... 615.11
****** UPDATE #2: It turns out that the salesman was quoting me for the car WITH NAV and several other options. To recap...
MODEL: 2009 G37 Coupe - Journey
OPTIONS: Premium, Sport, Navigation, Spoiler, Illuminated Kick Plates, Glass Sensor, Trunk Cargo Net, Trunk Mat.
The MSRP according to Infiniti / Edmunds is 46,090.00. Edmunds says the invoice is $42,041. He said invoice is $41927. This is looking like a pretty sweet deal. Granted, we haven't run my credit yet, which will no doubt bump up the MS a little bit.
Thoughts?

Here's a deal i got for a factory order a month ago up in North Cal:
09 G37xS sedan, black/black, Sport, Prem, Nav, splash guards, midnight black grill, front chin spoiler, rear deck spoiler. 500 over invoice which was around 40K. 44xxx MSRP.
39 months lease, 15K miles/year, 3500 down (which includes first month's payment), 535/month (including tax). Took me a week of phone calls and emails between 2 dealers to get this deal. I'm pretty happy with it and can't wait for the car. Also hoping to get 500 loyalty cash when the car gets here.
Hope it helps, good luck.
Alex.

Did you by chance get the numbers for a 36 month/12k miles?
i don't have the numbers for 36/12 but if you raise the number of months from 36 to 39 and lower the number of miles per year from 15 to 12K, your monthly payment should decrease by 30-50 bucks.
Contact Nichole Dela Cruz @ Santa Monica Infiniti, tell her I (Graham) told you to call her for a good deal. She blew away any deal that I was offered hands down, all over the phone, even delivered my car to my office. I bought my car from SM Infiniti and still have never set foot in the dealership. She made the easiest car deal of my life for me. I know she also hooked up "Mangoface" on here with a good deal too.

I've had a few e-mails back and forth with someone at the Santa Monica dealership already, so my only hesitation would be in stepping over them and starting talks with someone else. Think that would be an issue?
Hi there everyone,
I'm looking for a 2008 G37-S 6MT with Navigation (since the dealers as I'm sure everyone is aware, wanna get rid of these '08s asap). I'm in SoCal also and looking to lease. This is the deal I've negotiated SO far:
2008 G37-S 6MT coupe, with navigation and premium package.
10k/yr.
Actual price of car: $41,000
Total Down: 0 (zero)...dealer worked all upfront costs into the monthly payments.
Monthly payment WITH tax works out to: $559
Is this about avg in SoCal with similar deal specs?
Thanks! Really appreciate all the input.
Mark

Who cares, are you afraid of hurting that salesmans feelings to save some money? He's going to basically forget about you as soon as you sign that paperwork.

Thanks for the referral! I told her you sent me.
I ended up getting a car from Nichole. She was a breeze to work with and got me the car for less than $500 over invoice. Right out of the gate she was straight on the numbers, and sent me a screen-cap of her finance calculator app with the details.
Thanks for the referral! I told her you sent me.
