Bought new 09 g37x sedan today!
Great and interesting experience.
First, the car: graphite on graphite, with nav and premium pkgs.
Now the deal: I emailed the dealer yesterday to say I was willing to pay invoice for the car, OTD ($38k). After a brief phone call to make sure I was serious and to make sure they had a car I wanted in stock, my offer was accepted by email in about 2 hours (no negotiating required). I went to the dealer this morning to close the deal. They wanted to charge extra for doc fees, and the only cars in stock with the right colors plus nav and prem also had wood trim (which I had told them the night before I did not want). The salesperson got the sales manager. Now expecting the worst, I told him I did not want the wood, and that I had the email with my offer stating doc fees would be included. The sales manager immediately apologized for the misunderstaning and ... volunteered to lower the price of the car by $300 to offset the doc fees and threw in the wood trim free! No arguing, no hassel. So I ended up paying $600 less than invoice with essentially no negotiating. Everyone was friendly, professional, no pressure, and a pleasure to do businees with. Oh - and they kept feeding the meter where I was parked outside the dealer. Infinti of Boston. I highly recommend them (and I have absolutely no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer).
Can't wait to get the new ride tonight.

No worries, your able to switch it to the washi trim if you'd like. And you didnt pay anything for the wood one, so its like a win-win situation! thats crazy though...when the dealership pays your parking meter.
Congrats on your purchase, and welcome to the boards! Looking forward to pics as well.

When you say "OTD" does that include state taxes and registration? If so, that's a great deal! We just paid $38K for ours (in CT) but taxes and registration were on top of that price. We got the G37x sedan Liquid Platinum w/graphite/nav/prem/+few minor options tossed in. Thought this was fair deal. If you got yours with taxes included, then our deal not so great! LOL
