Well go to edmunds and first build your car then go to several car dealers and get quotes also quote them the invoice price.

Also get a 08 if you want invoice price. There not willing to budge on the 09. =(.

Now I remember why I havent bought a new car in awhile.

You think this is a good deal?

08 g37 journey with nav and premium demo with ~2500miles.

Invoice 38291
Their offer 39400

While I can negotiate I find it tiring so I prefer that they simply give me the best deal they can muster up front then I will take it or leave it.

For example, Atlantic Infiniti's deal was $1500 under MSRP on 2008's--nope, end of discussion.

So far the only infiniti dealer I have dealt with that is somewhat straightforward is Key Infiniti but they dont have a car I particularly like.

Maybe they are doing me a favor and I will sit and wait to see what the new year brings, lol.

Not a good deal at all especialy cuz its a demo. You can get a brand new one for about 1k under invoice. If you want that, I would recomend about 2-3k under invoice. and you can try to have dealers get you vehicles from other dealers, but it might cost you a bit more since it is not their inventory. you generally have to negotiate because the first price they give you usually has some room to go lower.

I appreciate it. As soon as he gave me the price I said thank you and that was that. I think he didnt know quite what to say. If he calls back, fine. If not, fine too. His loss-not mine.

Basically, a demo is a used car. Pay a used car price. Just remember that people have put their nasty hands all over that car.

That is not a good deal at all, way too much. Remember though, that just because they list a car at a certain price, doesn't mean you can't submit what you feel is a fair offer.

About negotiating, dealerships are a business. They are there to make a living like any other retail business. If every customer got the best price (eg invoice on every new car), dealerships would have a harder time (remember that many dealerships have closed in 2008). Just like how the dealership has to work to convince consumers that the asking price is fair, consumers can submit their own offer of what they feel is fair.

I'm helping my friend decide between the 2008 G37 or the 2008 G35 sedan. What is the invoice for these cars? I bought my G last year. =)

Having seen that folks were getting invoice I already knew that it wasnt a good deal. I am not motivated enough at this point to negotiate.

Yes indeed, Taylor is who I dealt with and on the demo 08 they offered me 2000 under MSRP. They have my contact information so if they want to sell it they can contact me. By the way this was straight from the General Manager.

I see you live in Savannah (I do too).
