$38,150 good price?

Found an 08 G37S 6MT, Athens Blue (love this color) on black... Car has 80 miles on it.

Its pretty much base w/ a sunroof.. Had what I thought was navi, but its just a screen for MPG/stats.

The salesman was telling me that the price is a steal.

I drove it and I really love the car. Is this a great price?

All others on their lot were $40K +

Thanks

Horrible deal! It's a 6MT with the premium package. I got a 5AT Journey with Sports Package, Premium Package, Illuminated Kick Plates, Cargo net and mat, and splash guards for $38,000 flat plus taxes. The car's sticker price was $42,XXX, and was able to negotiate it down. The car had 6 miles when I took it off the lot. And this was 5 months ago.

Unless $38k includes taxes and fees that's a horrible deal!

I used to live in Canada... Born there actually.

Why do you think my family moved to the states? lol.

Your G37 is like a lambo there... I know.

I'd probably pick up all the ladies w/ a G35 there.. Hell, a C230 benz does the trick there.

thats pretty pricey for today's economy. Also I would dump that salesman for lying to you, he's no longer trustworthy and will probably screw you over later on.

I agree that it's too high. Get them down to $36-36.5k.

a good way to check to go to carsdirect.com and see what price they have. you can use this to negotiate with your dealer. tell them if you can't beat that price, you might as well buy it online thru carsdirect.

that said, that price sounds way too high for an 08. remember the 09 models are just around the corner so your 08 car kinda has a 1 model year of depreciation built into it. if i use my zipcode, a 6MT with navigation, premium, spoiler is only $38k.

Depends where in Canada. In big cities like Toronto or Vancouver, I see tons of BMW 3-Series & Lexus IS, they're a dime a dozen & you won't get any attention.

Let me guess - Ray Catena Infiniti.

And I bet he said - "Oh...it's one of the few 6MT's we have so that's why we won't go lower." Bullocks!

They can't seem to give the car away if they tried!

Tell them to do you a favor by lowering the price so their new 2009 stock can get in.
