Returning Lease with different tires?

If I lease a G 6mt sport, I will obviously have to replace my tires before I turn it in.

Can I replace them with any brand of my choice or will I be penalized?

Welcome. You can return the lease with whatever tires you like.

Correct.. All 4 tires must be the same and it doenst matter the brand. All they really care about is how much tread is left.

Really? All 4? Wow that's pretty strict. When I returned my A4, I had Dunlops in the front, some cheap generic brand on the back. No problems. Must be an IFS thing?

IFS is quite strict... But my recommendation to the OP would be to ask IFS specifically. We can only speculate however, I speak from experience... My neighbor got penalized with his Lexus IS that he leased b/c he had different tires on the front than rear although they were all within the tread requirements.

well the "rules" and how they actually handle them are two different things...
