How Do these numbers sound?

Hey Everyone,

I'm almost ready to jump into a G, so I've been pricing them in my area.

So far the best price I've gotten for a 08 6mt sport with premium package is $37,600.

Can I do better?

I may actually lease this one and its looking like the cost will be $1100 out of pocket at signing, $505 a month for a 39 month term, 15k miles a year.

I think that sounds pretty good, whats everyone think?

With the 09s right around the corner, I think you can do better on an 08 IMHO.

true that, milk it hard because they're gonna want to get rid of 08's when 09's come out

Beware however that inventory is dwindling and most dealers will have to trade to the acquire the exact vehicle you want. Either you get a smokin' deal on an in-stock model that could be your second or third choice, or you pay a little more to cover costs to trade for your vehicle, but you have the exact one of your choosing... if it's still out there.

I got my 6MT Premium, Kick Plates, Splash Guards, Cargo and Mat for $37,400 on 5/31/08. It was the last car sale of the month for the dealer (8pm deal agreed) and they wouldn't budge anymore.

Personally I think its a great deal. As Dave ISM says, there are not many left now so if you don't take it over $500 or so someone else will, and then you will be back to square 1 with the 09's.

Also remember, on this particular forum, the best deals always get posted, which probably are the minority of all sales. I try to stay out of Buying and Leasing for this reason, as someone will always get a better deal.

If you feel its a fair deal (remember pricing varies by city) then pull the trigger and enjoy it!

First and Only,

1) What is the retail price of the car?
2) What is the invoice price of the car?
3) What is the residual value after three years or 39 months?
4) What is the money factor rate for a three year lease or 39 months?
5) What is included in the $1100 at signing?
6) What is your "area"?

This information is helpful in determing whether or not, you are getting a good deal...good luck.
