2009 G37 Coupe Pricing

Hey,

How much do you think the 09 G37 will cost when it first comes out in mid-sept? Will it be at MSRP in Cali area? Or close to invoice?

Also what about Washington Area?

Will the 09 coupe be allowed to be imported across the border to Canada, right away?

Don't expect crazy deals when the vehicle first comes out, especially a lease. Lease rates will be high no matter what or if you're financing, you're paying bank rate (no special APR from IFS). That's like asking for a discount on a 3G iPhone on launch day when there is a line of 80 people behind you that is willing to pay the posted price.

What about cash purchase?

Also I got a reply from a dealer in Washington and she says "Infiniti was not going to add any of our 2009 models to the admissibility list for Canadian import. This is the last I heard, I have a big waiting list for the 2009 FX35's and FX50's and we can't sell them to Canadians. "

Is this true?

Ya, don't expect crazy deal at beginning. It will be a month or so before you see the drop.

Currently, I'm living in NYC but will be moving to Northeast NJ, late Sept - Early Oct. I'm planning to purchase the new G37 coupe 2009 once I settle down in NJ which will be around Mid-Oct. By that time is there any possibility that I could bargain down for the car? Considering our economic situation I would believe so.

Economy might be in the toilet, yet gas prices are higher than they were a year ago and we paid it no matter what. Sure, gas prices have come down in the past month alone however it's due to market conditions; the same applies to vehicles or anything else we buy. Prices hold if they're selling and moving. If no one buys or there is a need to flush inventory (such as the end of a model year), that's when you see aggressive deals.

I love when people try to use this approach today when buying something... "the economy sucks" yet we still shop for luxuries like cars, homes, vacations, electronics, etc.

Homes on would put on the essentials list but everything else I would say yes.

I could have had a 2009 at $300 over VPP price from a so-cal dealer (or VPP price if Infiniti allows it at release).. I would suggest telling the dealer that you must have the 7AT (assuming you want auto), so they drop attempts to put you in an 08 and deal on an 09.

I understand but I wanted to see if they there any possibility that a dealership would at least drop it down by a grand or two. I'm planning to purchase the g37 coupe 2009 journey w/ sport package, premium package & navigation which will cost about 44g. It's definitely a great deal considering what you get in return but the tax is what scaring me away which would add about 3-4g.
