Very possibly yes, but there's no way to waive the destination charge since it is imposed by the manufacturer. Either you got lied to and paid for it regardless or it was just hidden and packed in with your fees.

Yeah, it's imposed to make it fair to dealerships all across the country, so that your location in relation to shipping ports or manufacturing plants doesn't give you an advantage over other dealerships.

I believe all three of those scenarios are doable. Tell him directly that you are prepared to make a move immediately if he can sell you the car at ________ below invoice. Do not talk about anything else (trade-in, financing/lease options) until you have agreed on the selling price. If he says that the best he can do is at or above invoice, thank him for his time and say that you owe it to yourself to see what other deals are out there (good chance they'll change their tune either before you leave or by the time you get home).

The whole process is a game bro... play it or be played.

+1 ^^ what he said. The dealerships will start to try and move 08's soon. Orders for the '09 are around the corner. You should get at least invoice if not better. When you get your offer, post it if you want us to take a look.

Play the game bro, it's all a game. Washington cost of living is more expensive than down here in south Texas but good luck anyway bro.

While many of you are right in most cases that you can get one for invoice, that does not pertain to all markets. I am currently the #2 salesman at the largest inifniti dealership in New England and I can asure you that invoice on a G37 is rare,. Does it happen? Of course, but not as much as say California, Florida, and other southern states where they sell more of them. When there is snow in atleast 3 months of the year a dealership usually tries to hold gross on them a bit more being that they don't sell many in the first place. IBefore I sold infiniti's I was selling Toyotas for the largest Toyota Dealership on the whole East Coast. I have sold cars for $700 under invoice before any kind of factory incentives. So I have been on both ends. If you are in a hard market you can always call a dealership a bit out of your region and always see what they have to offer. Some ship and also might even be willing to drive to you if you are close enough.

Interesting. I was charged 575 for bank fee and 317 for DMV Fees (California...double checked on DMV website).

Could it have been hidden in the bank fee? What is the dest charge supposed to be?

What was your money factor? Some dealers will bump it up for profit even though you qualify for a lower number (but they will usually tell you the factor if you ask). With good credit it should be 0.00192 (at least in May it was). Calculate your monthly payments based on that and see if they match. The formulas can be found with a quick google search.

Hmmm...it may seem they aren't using IFS if your MF is .0018.
The lowest that can be had at the moment (without a security deposit) is .0019 with a 39mo lease, .00192 on a 36mo lease and .00184 on a 24mo lease.
Find out if these is a disposition fee and if GAP coverage is included.
