Terrible experience at Lynnes
Terrible experience at Lynnes
I stopped by Lynnes Infiniti yesterday to check out the G37S and to get some lease numbers. What a waste of time! It was by far the worst dealer experience ever!
I went in with my wife and walked around for about 5min when this salesperson walked up to us and asked us if we needed help. I tell him that our current lease is up in a few months and we are thinking of getting the G37S with all options except 4 wheel steering. He told us to come back when our lease is up. I said that I want to order the car. He said not to worry that they will be able to locate the exact car I want in 3 days. I asked him what if he can't and he was like we will. I still wanted some numbers. So he walks us over to his desk. Desk was empty except for a phone. He doesn't even offer us to sit. So he walks away for about close to 10mins. I see him walking back and forth from one place to another. After about 5mins had passed, we just wanted to leave, walk out. But we didn't want to be unprofessional. I asked him for 36month lease and he comes back with 39 and 24 telling me those numbers are better.
My wife and I just stood there for like 10mins.
Salesperson's name is Misael "Tony" Matos. Stay away from Lynnes and stay away from him.
I don't usually write bad reviews but I just hate it when dealers treat potential customers like this.

Look at things from his perspective for a second, you're not interested in buying now so he's not interested in giving you any numbers til you're ready to go. Next time, don't mention anything about "when" you're going to lease but rather on the terms. They'll think you're ready to buy now and treat you like a king!
you can end a lease early within the last few months, he had no idea what the customer was intending to do, theres no excuse for it, even if you hear it time and time again and get multiple walkouts salesmen should always be professional, he needs to look at the bigger picture he is representing a dealership, who is representing a company, if he doesnt like it he should get a new job.

A salesperson should treat everyone as a potential customer.

Exactly, this salesman needs to learn more about basic sales tactics. You always treat every lead as a potential sale. The proportion of people wanting to buy right now as opposed to people looking to buy in the near or distant future is miniscule. Most sales take time to develop, and customers WILL remember how they were treated during initial discussions. People successful in sales always have a healthy queue of leads in the present and future. No excuse at all for this guy, time to move on to the next dealership.
Is this the Lynnes Infiniti dealership in Bloomfield, NJ? I've heard that they don't alwyas treat their customers the best. Go to Douglas Infiniti in Summit... I had a great experience there.
if i owned the dealership or was the general manager, this salesman would be out the door.
I would send this review to the dealership and to Infiniti.
That's just poor service. Things like that are what kill repeat business in the future.
Sure they may make out for the present time but down the road each customer lost adds up.
