just checking before I pick up the car...

I'm here to ask the pros.. question isn't whether or not I should pay anything at signing. Question is whether or not there's some other stuff going on here.
When I run the numbers on the car lease calculators the payments come out cheaper. Am I missing something here?

$42,895 msrp
$39,067 sale price/invoice

39 month lease – 60% residual for 15K miles with a money factor of .00185 tax in LA county 8.25% . payments = $510/month
total due at signing. fees + first months payment $1526.12.
what are the "fees" anyway?

any help would be appreciated, I know there's tons of these threads, but I've done all the searching that I could and just need some one else's advice before I take the plunge..

he said he could match it, since I was getting the car at invoice, he really couldn't do any better.. so I'm assuming that means I have a pretty good deal

Not necessarily. You have a good deal getting the car at invoice but the other dealer could charge less for the fees.

The fees are usually: Acquisition fee (595), the Acq fee is taxed, DMV fees, Doc fee and sometimes something else depending on your state like NY has a Tire fee.

Just have the $1526.12. broken down for you.

595 + tax
510 payment
DMV fee
Doc fee (check if CA caps this fee)
any other random fee?

and compare with the other dealer's fees.
