Right now, most of them are out of state so a truck would have to be dispatched to pick it up... at a cost, of course. The other way around that is factory preference one and wait the 3 - 4 months to build and arrive to the States.

I think some people are misunderstanding the TS. He isn't planning on any pkgs w/ the Journey, so it's almost exactly the same thing as the base. He's basically asking if the $900 is worth it (again, he's not getting the premium pkg or any pkg).

Sport model does not require Journey. I'm talking about the 6-MT sport base if you can find one.

As far as the head unit. Right now I am not swapping out the stocker. Just converting the signal to composite and running all my components/coaxials/subs off of my amps. I am however in the process of removing the ashtray and dropping in a 7" touchscreen for my car PC.

Wow. And I stumbled upon mine at my local dealer that night without even knowing I was going to buy it.

Id much rather have a FULLY loaded Accord or Civic w/ Nav etc.. than a base G37. I can't even imagine having my G without everything I have it in now and I want more! EVen when I've been in a few G35 they just suck compared to the 37
DGC - the fully loaded v6 accord coupe can stand up to the base G somewhat in terms of what ur getting but still not quite...but a fully loaded civic w/nav is still pretty pathetic/trifling compared to a base G...the base G still makes you the 330 HP trasnferred to the rear wheels, leather seats, sexy soundin exhaust, base stereo equivalent to premium stereo on civic also im sure..not to mention most of the sexy, aggressive styling is still prevalent on a base G and the RWD is hot - and civics are still pretty tiny/ugly/girly lookin.....I think you'd be a fool to choose a "fully loaded" Civic over a Base G37....even the fully loaded civic doesnt give you leather. and your still stuck with a slow i4 engine with power to the front wheels with a less than noticeable engine/exhaust note. not to mention everyone and their mom and sister drives a civic...but G's are still distinguished vehicles whether base or not.

Sorry if I came off direct - just had to drop an opinion and I mean it with all due respect!

All in all if yo dont care for the bells and whistles - the G is still worth every penny at the base level and still outperforms a fully loaded v6 accord priced in the high 20s. Especially if you can get it for $3-4k under sticker price its not that much more money, you're still getting an all out performer. not to mention a lighter car im sure.

Just wondered what you G37 enthusiasts thought of this. Thanks again!!
to the OP - i say wait to get the best possible deal on the base model with the color of your choice...if u dont care for the bells & whistles then honestly the cd changer and climate control is not gonna be a big deal. if its just a $900 difference cant u haggle/bargain enough to get the Journey model price matched to the base???

C'mon now, you know that can't happen! When have you bought a cheeseburger for the price of a hamburger? You want the cheese, you pay for it! Keep in mind we're looking at $35k+ vehicles; if $900 is gonna make you balk, you just might be looking at the wrong car altogether. Just my two cents.

Ive bought fully loaded g37 for the price of a well equipped G37....got it about 3k lower than sticker...if the dealer can budge 3k on a fully loaded - why not 1k on g37 base vs. journey?
