Right now, most of them are out of state so a truck would have to be dispatched to pick it up... at a cost, of course. The other way around that is factory preference one and wait the 3 - 4 months to build and arrive to the States.

Sport model does not require Journey. I'm talking about the 6-MT sport base if you can find one.
As far as the head unit. Right now I am not swapping out the stocker. Just converting the signal to composite and running all my components/coaxials/subs off of my amps. I am however in the process of removing the ashtray and dropping in a 7" touchscreen for my car PC.

Really.. you would rather have a base G with Sport than Premium or Nav? Every package is 'worth it'.
Id much rather have a FULLY loaded Accord or Civic w/ Nav etc.. than a base G37. I can't even imagine having my G without everything I have it in now and I want more! EVen when I've been in a few G35 they just suck compared to the 37

Sorry if I came off direct - just had to drop an opinion and I mean it with all due respect!
All in all if yo dont care for the bells and whistles - the G is still worth every penny at the base level and still outperforms a fully loaded v6 accord priced in the high 20s. Especially if you can get it for $3-4k under sticker price its not that much more money, you're still getting an all out performer. not to mention a lighter car im sure.

So it turns out that the dealer i was going to buy from is having trouble locating a PG Base G37 around this area. He offered a PG Journey G37 w/ kick plates for basically $900 more. Do you guys think its worth it? The total purchase would push my expected spending over by $1100.
Just wondered what you G37 enthusiasts thought of this. Thanks again!!

C'mon now, you know that can't happen! When have you bought a cheeseburger for the price of a hamburger? You want the cheese, you pay for it! Keep in mind we're looking at $35k+ vehicles; if $900 is gonna make you balk, you just might be looking at the wrong car altogether. Just my two cents.
