"S" or not to "S"
If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't get the S. 20-25K a year is a lot of mileage and it'll not only end up costing you more in tires, but also a rougher ride during your commute. Save your money and don't get the S.
Looking at your projected use of the car, if mileage and tire wear are your only concerns, there is no reason at all not to get an S. Just because Infiniti places a staggered wheel setup on the car doesn't mean you have to. You could probably pass 245's or 225's all around on a much less aggressive summer or all season tire. You might not have as much traction patch on the rear but depending on how you drive it might not be an issue. I can reassure you that you don't need to worry about the stability or ABS systems on the car as a huge number of us with dedicated winters went the same size all the way around. I have 225's all around on 18's as winters and my car rides fine, it's an S btw.
depends which you think looks better. they perform the same as far as straight line goes. The S is a fraction of a second faster on the track do to stiffer springs and wider tires.
But if you plan to mod the **** out of it, no point in S.
