I went to the dealership last weekend and got everything sorted out about pricing and options. I fill out a credit check for the leasing company, my credit is good , but they need some kind of history of borrowing credit, so I had my mom cosign. The papers were faxed in last monday to the leasing company and I still havent heard back from the dealership. Does it usually take this long to get approved for a lease? Thanks.

Call them, maybe they are waiting to hear back from you. Even if you didn't score Tier 1 or 0 they'd still want your business for more $$ of course.

 

The exact thing happened to me. Good credit, no borrowing history (other than student loans), so I needed a cosigner. They didn't get to me until 2 days later.

 

I will try calling today and see what is going on. I'll keep you posted.

Ok just got off the phone with the dealership. He said it was approved last week the day after they faxed the papers in. He apologized for not giving me a call back and said they are in the process of setting a delivery date for the car to arrive. Its coming soon!
