Got mine for 1800 below invoice (with $500 rebate) from Fairfield. Elkgrove Infiniti was willing to beat that price, but I took a test drive and had to go home in it. If you're still shopping, contact a manager directly and negotiate with them, less haggling and better deal. Winter months are tough for dealers, negotiate below invoice.

Just test drove my G today.
So far i'm like $100 over invoice, but I haven't asked other dealers to beat that. I wish the rebates where going on, maybe by the time I'm ready to buy (I need to sell my truck) they will have some deals.

Back in Dec, I got what I believe to be as good a deal as anyone at the time, 500 below invoice (no VPP).
Nope, no typo. Fairfield, CA. I've been on this forum for a month before I purchased and saw that other owners in diff states were able to get at or below invoice. My fiance is in the auto industry so she filled me in on where the dealers get their money. It's not just from the purchase price. In fact, Invoice is not true invoice. Dealers make money several ways.
Knowing the following facts helps you to not feel bad when negotiating:
Dealers make more money from selling the extended warranty and those types of packages than they do on the vehicle itself.
Even at invoice with nothing else purchased dealers make a profit on the vehicle PLUS manuf kick backs (different from rebates).
With the exception of my rims, clear bra and kick plates, I got everything at or below invoice including the warranty, maintenance option, paint and interior protection. They still made a 2-3 thousand off of me. I also financed through the dealer at the 3.9 60 months, they made money there too.
So how do you go about getting a deal like this?
1. Get the invoice price, subtract $500.
2. Go online and find all dealers you're willing to travel to.
3. Get the internet sales manager's name and direct line.
4. Start calling everyone. Make sure to tell the manager you are serious, ready to buy, and give the quote from the "other dealer". Mention the other dealer's name. They are not able to verify. Do not talk to a floor salesperson.
5. DO NOT GO TO THE DEALER. Get all of your work done over the phone. I could have saved another $200 if I waited for a quote from another dealer. If they put you on hold for too long tell them you have other quotes you're waiting on.
I've used this tactic twice before. So far it has worked everywhere except for European car dealerships. For some vehicles getting near invoice is a good deal, but you can get a G37 below invoice with no haggling. I hate haggling.
More than willing to help, just let me know.
