Buying a Journey / Need advice re: Sport Package discount
Sold my S2000 a few months back and I'm getting ready to get a replacement.
I'm pretty sold on the G, except for two things
I had a major modded stereo in the S2K and I know this will not be easy in the G. I have resigned myself to he fact that the most I'll likely do is add an amp and a sub and call it a day
The second is that I'll get the sport package to get the paddle shifters but I do not want summer tires.
Since I'll likely want aftermarket rims anyway my plan is to purchase the sport package but ask the dealer to keep the rims / tires and give me a discount.
Given that the deals around seem to be at or under invoice, what do you all think is a resonable amount to shoot for if I send rims in and ask the dealer to keep the stock 19's?
TIA

There not really going to give you a hefty discount for the rims/tires. I'd say there worth at least $1,800 but you'd be better off selling them privately after you purchase the vehicle.
