Deal or no deal

Now, I'm considering holding off because of hopes of interest rates dropping even more (which would be absolutely great for an 18 year old wanting to buy a g37)

but heres the deal that I've received.

This is from the salesman that I had been emailing.

Alright, I found only one option out of state that was in the colors/equipment that you're looking for. It's a vibrant red with graphite equipped with navigation, premium and tech. I'm not even sure if the dealer would be willing to give it up since they are hard to come by, but assuming I could get it here's probably the best case scenario for pricing. I'll just be upfront with MSRP vs. Invoice.

The MSRP of this vehicle is $42,815 and Invoice is $39,047. So that's $3768 in profit. Being a vehicle that's in limited supply I think a very fair price is splitting that difference which would be a discount of $1884 which would put your price at $40,931.

So, that's what I would consider a very fair price for that vehicle considering it could easily draw sticker price for lack of availability. Let me know what you think...

Not so bad?

There can be better deals had elsewhere. Go for invoice or closer to it. Look to spend no more than $500 over invoice. Then when you get your incentive, it's invoice exactly or less.

You can get it at invoice somewhere else. Many people get them at invoice or like 500$ above.

There some fat in there but you have to remember that they are going to want more for a car thats not on the lot. I would not hold my breath waiting for rates to drop either. Although the fed may drop rates it does not mean the dealers will, the current offerings are pretty decent imho

IF they sell the car for Invoice they still make plenty of profit!

Your dealer is feeding you a lil BS.... its up to you if you swallow it or not....

go with 39250, then go from there. or you can do it online, its easier imo. there is no hassle and they are willing to deal more online than in person.

Email other dealerships, and when they quote you invoice show it to the dealership you went to, and see if they will price match. If not then there are other dealerships ready to sell at invoice or very close to it.
