I heard there were issues with people living in Canada coming down to the US to buy the G37. I guess dealerships were getting heat from Infiniti of America for selling to Canadian citizens. I am not sure if this is still happening though. You might want to contact some dealerships you are thinking of going to before wasting your time. I remember reading a forum member on here went to a dealership in Seattle (I think) and got turned away after they found out he lived in Canada.
That was me.. but it was Niello Infiniti in Concord CA. They choose not to deal with Canadians, they were not told "not to sell" by Infiniti US.

However, I continued calling around and got great service from another US dealer; Infiniti of Elk Grove CA. Highly recommended.

from the research that i've gathered so far, the border states are not allowed to sell to canadians. i dont know however if this is specific to infiniti, but major manufacturers are pulling this one.
Phone Infiniti US and get the official scoop from them. I called many months ago and the person (unfortunetly I no longer have their name or contact information) who I talked to basically said that they have never told any Infiniti dealer that they cannot sell to Canadians. They don't care who you by from, as long as it is Infiniti.
If they say otherwise, then their policy has changed substancially. It seems to me that it is the mindset of "Honda does it, therefore Infiniti might as well" and now the dealer is worried. If you get word either way, get specific contact information (name, phone, title) as well. If the person you are talking to cannot speak on behalf of Infiniti US, then ask for the person who can. Get it on record and in writing. I'd like to see if Infiniti has the ***** to make an official stance on this, one way or another.
Remember however, that a dealer never "has" to sell to anyone. The choice is up to them.

Just forget about the one in Buffalo, NY, they tried to charge me MSRP plus a "premium" because the car is "in demand" and they're "low on supply". I said whatever (but in a nicer way
).
You can forget about the dealer in Rochester, NY, they told me they're "prohibited" from selling to Canadians. BS!
The dealer in Syracuse, NY, wouldn't go any further than $500 below MSRP, so don't waste your time there.
Try the one in Albany, NY, which is where I bought my car. They're nice people and they'll take care of all the paperwork for you to import the car (which is a plus, less headache for you), but if you want good prices from them you'll need competitive bids from other dealers.
There's one in Fort Wayne, OH, who will do around invoice as well.
PM me if you want the latter two's contact.
Happy car-hunting!
