umm, well if you get the journey and you want the sport package on it then its going to get into the 40s.

If you go for the 6MT i believe its 35,550. Toss on a spoiler and your talking 36,100. Add taxes and fees your looking close to 40,000 out the door. Thats paying full MSRP. You could probably get it for around 36,000 out the door i think but you need to deal well and walk away if it doesn't happen.

Honestly though, if you are thinking about getting the base base model in automatic, I dont think its the car for you. You are just missing out on so many things. If you opt for the 6MT though, at least you have the sport package already on there but the premium package is almost a must.

forgo = to give up

I kinda agree with raptorius in the sense that I think you should get the 6MT, it is what the G is defined as. But, if you're completely uninterested a manual, then I guess auto will do too :/

You should definitely get the premium and sports packages though. If money is an issue, save up and wait a little longer, but I would not get the car without premium or sport. You don't want to end up regretting it. I'm almost certain that when you get the car with premium and sports packages, you'll be glad that you did.

Oh but a stick is even MORE fun than tiptronic, haha.

Anyway, I don't want to persuade you into getting the 6MT. Actually, I think that if you don't think that you absolutely must have the G in manual, then auto may be a better choice like you said.
