License (Plate) Fees

Just wanted to get how much you all had to pay to get plates on your car. I just got mine and it cost $927 and some change and that was just normal cheap plates. How much did you all pay?

Mine will be $90 for personalized plates in Wisconisin. You other guys are paying so much for plates because the plate has the excise tax from your car purchase figured into the cost of your license plate. In Wisconsin we pay excise tax each time we put gas in our cars- thats why we have such high fuel prices in Wisconsin.

Yep, it was $925.76 to get the plates for my car. This includes Owners tax, License fee, Title Fee, and I think one more. Stupid ownership fee was one of the big ones. And from what I have been told, I will have to pay the same thing next year because this is a 2008. Supposably the fees go down a year after you get the car but that won't be until 2009. Then the fees go down again after 5 years then again after 10. I am going to be killed in these fees each year because of the price of the car and it is not even a gas gusaler. It is like getting raped for tax multiple times.
