Josh's 2010 G37S 6MT
6MT has entered the chat.
Backstory
I purchased a low-mileage G37XS about a year and a half ago. I went FBO with wheels, coilovers, and BBK. Really loved the car, I called it the all-season sports car. I drove that thing everywhere. One thing was missing though, that third pedal... I was looking for a 6mt from the beginning but never found one within my budget. One finally came up on FB marketplace in northern Wisconsin. I had the extra cash to afford two cars for a short period of time so I booked a one way plane ticket and sent it. The seller met me at the airport with the new G sitting right outside of the exit doors of the airport. We exchanged some money and off I went on my long drive home. This car came mostly stock other than a topspeed Y back exhaust and the aftermarket wheels and tires. I also got the OEM duck foot wheels with brand new Blizzak tires. (score)
currently working on converting the old G back to stock and then listing for sale. I am not buying any new parts until I sell the old G.
To-do list (not in any specific order)
swap test pipes and exhaust from the other car DONE
Fab my own 3-inch intakes
Clutch pedal
Diff bushing
swap stainless lines
swap pads and rotors
Buy a set of coilovers
sway bars
Headlight restoration
Headlight bulb swap
Paint correction
Admin tune
Or maybe just coil overs and a turbo kit
Took a baseline 1/4 mile time.
Removed stock cats and Y pipe
Removed the top speed y-back exhaust
Swapped fast intentions and berk test pipes onto the 6mt
Still learning to drive a manual LOL quite rusty.
The stock Y pipe broke so I am going to have to get one for the other car.

It was like 10 minutes ago I recommended you start a new build thread. Damn you're quick.
Noticing that midnight grille in your other pic, the rear deck spoiler, and the front chin... I bet it has Nav, too. (IIRC, 2010 was the last year Nav was optional on the 6MT.)
Love those wheels in that finish on a black sedan. Looks great, Josh.
Subbed for details and progress. If your last build thread was any indication, you're going to have lots of fun with this one.

I like the color of the wheels. They are 8 lbs heavier per wheel compared to my OEM g35 rays. I may end up selling the rims to get a lighter set or swap on the rays. I currently have 4 sets of wheels and a bunch of parts to sift through and put onto this car. Keep an eye on the FS page as I will have some parts for sale. (BC coilovers, BBK, intakes, and maybe wheels)

There’s something very appealing about flying out to buy a car and driving it back. Like a car nerd’s great adventure.
Black 6mt sedan, good taste
Best of luck on the journey to making the car your own

Josh... RJM and STS. Both very inexpensive and certainly a DIY for someone like you. And both will dramatically improve the driving experience.

Added a clutch pedal to the list. I've had numerous people recommend one already. Currently focusing on selling the other car before I buy anything. The BC coilovers sold within a day.
