I've had my G for 2 1/2 years now. Originally bought it for a year round daily driver that could be good in snow and ice. Live up a pretty steep hill so needed an X model for the winter.
Here it is the day I brought it home, 87,000 miles.
I drove it for about 2 months before a flickering oil pressure light brought me to this forum. After doing a lot of research, thought it was the oil galley gasket issue that others had had. Bought an oil pressure tester to verify actual oil pressure and it was low
I tackled the job myself and it took a weekend to pull it apart, replace the gaskets and put it back together. The piece on the blue paper towel came out of the oil pan.
First mod was simple, had a door puddle lamp that was out so replaced them with these.
My biggest unhappiness with the car was how much the car leaned in the corners, especially the back end. So with some research on here decided the second mod was going to be Hotchkis Sway Bars, best mod to date! I have the front and rear at full stiffness.
Huge size difference with the rear bar!
The finish on the steering wheel was wearing badly, especially at the top. Bought one of the leather stitch on wheel covers and pulled off the steering wheel and spent a couple of hours sewing it on. Still feels great and looks way better than the stock wheel.
Front brake rotors and pads were worn out and needed replacing. Couldn't fit big brakes under the 17" stock wheels so did a Stop Tech front axle kit with their Street Select pads. There are a little more aggressive than the stock pads.
The stock shift **** for the 7AT was looking fairly worn, so i picked up a leather sew on cover for it. It was fairly easy to install, especially compared to the steering wheel cover.
I also replaced the stock air filters for K & N drop in filters. I have plans for forced induction in the future so didn't want to spend too much on stuff I would replace later. No pictures of these.
My latest mod was new wheels in preparation of a big brake kit in the future. These are 19x9's.

Other small improvements not specified earlier. Window tint and LED interior bulbs.
Future Plans:
Z1 Stainless Steel brake lines (just ordered on Black Friday)
12 Volt Solutions remote start kit (just ordered on Black Friday)
Fast Intentions Resonated High Flow Cats, 2 1/2" cat back with 18" resonators. Should I get the extra 02 bungs added to them? They can do one or both for using a Wide band O2 sensor.
Akebono Big Brake Kit (trying to decide if it is worth the money for the 2 piece rotors and less rotational unsprung mass)
BC Racings DS series Coilovers
Return style fuel system (For future E85 use) with larger injectors (1300 CC)
Oil Cooler
Transmission cooler (probably Z1)
Topgunz Air to Air Supercharger kit
4 BAR Omni map sensor
better sway bar end links
Take your time and do it right the first time. You seem like you have a good idea and plan so I'm sure you'll be fine. Have them do the bungs; especially if you plan on going FI. The transfer case can get in the way when installing generic J bungs so go ahead and have them throw some on vs. doing the modification yourself.
The remote start kit came in. Very nice kit, zero splicing required. It uses the stock remotes to start the car. It has 2 upgrades that you can purchase, a long range kit with different remotes (stock remotes aren't too far of a range) and a cellular module that you can use to start your car from anywhere you have cell service.
I just went with the basic kit for now. The install only took about 20 minutes, all the connections are made behind the passenger kick panel. I mainly want it for the winter time when I leave work and it's snowing outside.
So haven't posted in a bit. Still waiting on the exhaust to arrive, 12 week build time seems like an eternity. Ended up having to do the rear brakes as the pads were worn out and the rotors measured thin. So I did the stop Tech rear rotor/pad combo to match the front. The extra bite of the street select pads is a nice feel.
I have the Z1 steel braided brake lines waiting to install but haven't prioritized the install yet.

The exhaust I ordered in December came in today. It looks amazing and well worth the wait. It is Fast Intentions resonated high flow cats with 2/12 exhaust with 18" resonators. I had them weld in extra bungs for wide band O2 sensors for later down the road when I go forced induction. I hope to spend the day in the garage on Saturday installing this.
So swapped the exhaust out this weekend. Took a bit longer than I expected as the stock hardware had seen better days.
Can't tell the nut from the stud or flange
The exhaust sounds much deeper now. Not intrusive when cruising, you can hear it when under load and everyone can hear it when you foot it. Engine really seems to like it from 3500-7500.
