Slow G in the LBC

Hi All!

I posted up an introduction in the newbie corner and figured that, since parts are starting to change on the G, I better get a build thread started.

Picked up my G in March 2017. It's a 2009 6MT S Coupe in black, fully loaded.

So far I have done -
-Performance/Functional:
---Clutch spring mod
---DD Tail as Turn Module
---K&N Drop-in Panel Filters
---Mishimoto Silicone Intake Tubes
---GTHaus Y-Pipe & Mid-Pipe
---TopSpeed Pro-1 Axle-Back Exhaust
---O.Z. Ultraleggera 18x9 with Hankook Ventus R-S3v2 275/35ZR18 Squared set
---KW V1 Coilover Set
---SPC Camber/toe kit: Front Upper Control Arms, Rear Camber Arms, Toe Bolts
---Sway Bars: Hotchkis front/Eibach rear
---Moog Front Endlinks
-Aesthetic (Exterior):
---CF roof spoiler
---Plasti-dipped grill/emblems
---Headlights Customized by Five6DeuceCustoms - Gloss Black Housings, Gold Shrouds, 4 RGB Halos, 2 RGB Demon Eyes
-Aesthetic (Interior):
---GTR map light lenses
---Interior/Exterior LED swap - Map, vanity mirror, license plate, courtesy
---Interior trim vinyl wrapped
---Okutech Floor Mats (on Amazon, diamond-pattern): https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072KDPG99/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Parts I have, but aren't installed yet:
-FI RHFC

My wish list of projects -
-FSTB [Cusco/GTSpec]
-AK V2 Diffuser CF
-Front splitter (maybe Stillen)
-Side splitters (maybe AK)
-Engine bay & trunk dress up bolts
-Paint/hydro dip engine cover
-Wrap/paint/hydro dip engine bay plastics (radiator shroud, battery/brake covers, etc.)
-Wrap steering wheel trim
-Paint brake calipers

I'm always looking for more ideas, especially for small/cheap projects to do, so I'd love any and all suggestions you guys may have.

Attached pictures of how I bought it (20in wheels)

O.Z. Ultraleggera

A little love for LOTR

CF Roof Spoiler

Okutech Floor Mats (Not recommended, they're starting to break down)

Gold CF Wrapped Interior (DIY job, first wrap, so there are some imperfections)

So I added the DD Tail as Turn modules yesterday, incredibly easy and they look great of course.

Picked up some Moog end links (front & back) to swap in when I finally do the sways.

Found one place where I could rent shop space with a lift, but its a little far and, if something were to go sideways and I dont finish in one day, I dont want to have to tow the G back that far. With the new end links I'm thinking I will give the installation another shot.

Also picked up some FI RHFC on the forums here, another part on the list to be installed. Time for me to hold off on buying more parts until I get all these that I have into the car.

So I had some time off work during the holidays and managed to dedicate a couple of days to the G, and I must say that I feel pretty productive!

Managed to finish up most of my pending projects and move a bunch of parts from my garage to my car:
Cat-back exhaust - GTHaus Y-Pipe and Mid-Pipe with the TopSpeed Pro1 Axle-back - video coming soon
Sway bars and end links
coilovers and camber adjustment arms

Taking it for an alignment today during my lunch break then I will post up pics/vids!

I think GT-Spec shut down a few years ago.

I like your bronze CF wrap. Actually, it's a little overkill, IMO, like on too many interior pieces. But overall I really like the color and the application looks top-notch from your pics here.

Hmm, pick up a Cusco FSTB, then have it powder-coated in bronze to match the CF wrap you're using. That would look awesome.

Thanks Rochester!

I'm open to the Cusco as well, just listed the GT-Spec since I've seen more of those pop up on the classifieds. Didn't realize they shut down, thanks for the heads up.

I have actually been considering taking the wrap off the center console portion, since I agree that it's a little too rich in color. Plus, I have the carsmo ***** now so I think those will look cleaner with the stock silver look.

Good idea on the FTSB as well, that would look real nice. I had my headlight shrouds painted to match the gold nicely - planning on matching brake calipers as well, the FTSB would be a nice addition...

How did the moshimoto tubes fit? Any trimming involved? I’m debating wether to buy the Z1 or Moshimoto tubes.

The passenger side tube (IIRC) was a little trickier to get in as it was pinching at the bend a little bit, but I got it in with no trimming necessary.
