I'm coming from a 00 Eclipse which I bought 6 years ago with 66k (as a HS student). I had put a lot of money into the car over the 6 years (mainly performance upgrades) and had finally fixed all the problems/maintenance and was planning on just driving it until it fell apart. Obviously, life had other plans. Around the start of November, 2015, I was hit by an intoxicated driver, totaling my eclipse. I wasn't injured thankfully, but I was now out a car with less than a year left in college (basically semi-broke).
I was looking for a truck, seeing as Indiana winters can be pretty crazy, but the truck I wanted wasn't in my price range, and I wasn't willing to negotiate. While car shopping, I came across a White G37xS and fell in love with everything but the price tag. From then I knew I would continue searching until I found the right car, at the right price. Something to grow into, but not completely out-of-range.
Then I came across this beauty.
2010 G37x AWD. 44k 1 owner. I was able to get a great price along with a 5yr/100k bump-to-bumper warranty with it.
I've had the car for about a month now and I can say I'm in love.
I've been on this site since I first test drove the White 37xS to read what everyone else had to say about these cars, and to see what potential mods I could strive for. Needless to say, I won't be doing much of anything at least until Winter is over, and I should be graduating college next Fall so most likely I'll hold off on anything big until then.
In the next few months, I'll be looking at;
Tint
Grounding kit (might do this in the next few days as I have leftover 4awg wire)
Possibly caliper paint (was going to try to make it match the BS)
Carsmo *****
Sways
In the future;
Tires + Rims
LED conversion
MD manifold
Possibly Exhaust
Vinyl wrapped interior
Tune
+ more
My overall goal is to keep it clean and ride as smooth as it does now/better. It's my DD for the meantime so I don't want to sacrifice comfort for performance.
I'll keep this thread updated with anything I decide to do to it. It will likely stockish for a while though
Nice first post!
Glad you found a car that works for you and that you're enjoying it.
Look forward to your progress and glad you weren't injured by that idiot.
