Glad I changed out the OEM ones. They were heavily pre-loaded and they'd lost a bit of their starch. When I got the OEMs off, the bolts just hung there limply. The new ones are much more robust, and not loaded until needed.
Note: Notice that the SPL camber arm is not engaging the sway. This is a great relief to me.
It's only been since November 6th. So about 3 months. No penetrating corrosion so far.
I have, lately, had a haze/glaze of rust (?) on the slotted rotor part if they sit for a couple of days. Probably due to the wet and salty roads. It rubs right off at the first stop sign. And then they're shiny again. The hats don't change at all...(nor do the B2Auto spacers..they always look great)
No noise yet. No judder. Real solid. I have the Posi-Quiet pads.
So far, good performance for a good price...but, as mentioned, still very early.
How long has it been now, Sean? What's the corrosion situation?
I've always had really good luck with the Centric Premium rotors (the blanks used for Stoptech) regarding corrosion resistance. I've had them on my G through 2 salty Chicago winters and they are holding up nicely.
I had Centric rotors with my last car, and they got rusty real quick. (IDK what "premium" is... maybe they weren't premium.) And I had Brembo blanks on that same car once, and those things turned orange all the way around almost immediately.
The OEM 14" rotors that come with the BBK don't seem to rust... which is weird. I'm not complaining, however. My concern is when they get replaced. Odds are I'll be asking this question a few more times in the next couple years.

The Centric premium rotors have the black coating among some other advantages over the base rotor. Since Stoptech is a subsidiary of Centric, they pull centric premium blanks to machine the drilled/slotted variants.

The reason I ask is that I ordered a set of rotors and pads once from RockAuto and when the package arrived, the box was literally ripped open with the rotors hanging out of the box. The individual who packed the order used peanuts for protection which actually offered no protection at all. This allowed the items to move all around which I'm sure contributed to the box failing. What was an additional annoyance was that the rear drums were mismatching: one was painted black and the other was not. Needless to say, I've been very weary about ordering heavy items from RockAuto since due to that incident. I guess it didn't help that it was the first time ordering from them either as it left a bad impression.
Anyways, I'm looking to do my brakes this summer as well and am debating which way to go. Blanks are cheaper but I am considering slotted rotors just because I like the look even if in reality they do not add anything to the performance aspect. Still can't decide...but I wouldn't be surprised if I ended up with a similar setup (I've already decided on the Posiquiet pads - lol).
Yes, I too went with slotted 'cause they're just a bit fancier.
The packaging was absolutely fine to the point of being unremarkable. All I remember was the FedEx guy leaving them at the wrong house and my neighbor coming over 'cause she couldn't lift the boxes. LOL
