Coming along nicely for sure, although that glove in the engine bay seems to have a bad attitude
Forgot what you ended up doing w/ those vert offset wheels, I know that was making your head spin.
At any rate, look forward to seeing this come together, great choices thus far.
Too bad about the Gen3 fitment, seems like it's a tough beast to get just right.

So... B&M because it was a pick-up opportunity. Got it.

That's a TWM shift **** then? I wonder if my Lathewerks Ti **** is heavy enough to satisfy what you're describing.

What does "over clickyness" mean; I don't follow what you're saying.

Hmm. It still doesn't read like total contentment on the STS.

yea with twm you can adjust the final height of the **** which came in handy..

if you over tighten the bolt and the bottom of the shifter thats attaches to the tranny.. it gives a notchey feel and kinda makes the gears click in instead of smoothly engaging. there is still some when tighten correctly but the counter balance of the shiftknob minimizes it and the gears engages smoothly like stock..

basically if you dont have a weighted shift know to "help" you will hate a STS on our cars regardless the brand from what i've found trolling the web.

oh man need to finish this wheel snowball story.. so here goes..

So i've looked and looked and couldnt decide what wheels to get and what style. then i stumbled upon this thread https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...g37-sedan.html and got smittened to decided to get some coupe 19" until i decide....

So i found a set in Orlando for local pickup only at a great price. I quickly called my cousin to make arrangements to get it. Few weeks past then i got them from an uncle visiting.

Good looking wheels right?! great condition faces are great.. now just to find the gunmetal color to have them painted..

then found the color and took the wheels to the shop thats doing the Z.

After a few days past and I get a call from the shop stating there is a problem... They stated the rear wheels are different.. i was like what you talking about?! Come to fine out the rear wheels are two different offsets and come to find out one wheel was from the Coupe and one from the Convertible. :|

so then i quickly started trolling the interweb looking for a Coupe rear wheel..
sound a local guy that had his coupe written off and he had a rear wheel so i left during lunch and bought it..

that evening I went to the shop and saw the wheels the offset really wasnt that noticeable until it was painted. The vert wheels with the 30 offset looked soo good.. so i told them dont paint the new rear wheel yet.. still undecided on what to do now seeing the Vert and Coupe rear together.

i pondered and pondered and no matter how bad i wanted the wheels on, the vert wheel looked soo good.. so i told them dont paint the new wheel let me find another Vert one.

so i began trolling again some more... found a few vert wheels but they were re-manufactured ones.

then finally found a guy that had a pair and wouldnt split them so i bought them :/ for cheaper than the reman ones.. so then took the one rear Coupe and had to shop paint them.

So now i had one vert wheel shy off two sets.. lol

decided to run Coupe rears on front and Vert rears on the back. So then the shop went into a deadline on a MG they were restoring and the wheels sat for three weeks. Finally when they did it they put too much flatterer in the clear and it looked like primer. So now they had to strip and repaint and i had to find another set of caps..

Finally everything was right in the world of wheels.. time for rubber.. now apparently during all this fun time with the wheels the rubber i wanted went into national backorder.. FML! lol :/

I did the same a couple years ago with the belt-line. Although with your red car and full front-back dark tint, I think you could wrap the entire trim and like it better than otherwise. (Even if wrapping the entire window trim is a PITA... I get that.)

Speaking of Red Sedans... go see Pedro's build thread. The amber inside JDM tails looks fantastic against Vibrant Red.

i dont like shiny/chrome stuff, but having all the trim black looks out of place with the midnight grill and head/fog light chromy bits..

if those areas get addressed i'll then go all black.
