VQ-Vic Progress Build Thread

Got my 10" G37xS back in end of September of 2013. Came from a 09" Sentra SER.
I have been slowly adding stuff to it. Decided to make a progress build thread to document the changes I have made throughout. And some opinions as well

Current Mods:
- 19" IPL wheels
- Takeda Long tube CAI
- Berk HFC
- Front Akebono brakes
- Rear 13" G35S brakes
- AutoX V1 carbon fiber Rear Diffuser
- Added mudguards and spoiler
- Swift Springs
- Rear Hotchkis Sway Bar
- Grounding Mod
- 15mm F+R spacers

After putting on spoiler (I've always liked the G35 spoilers. I really never liked the lip spoilers

Painted the grill and did a full day of cut and polish. I have now understood it is like having a part time job on top of my normal full time maintaining a black G.

And the most current photo with the spacers on

More photos to come as new parts come in.

One question, I have searched around regarding the Nismo S-Tune exhaust that was made for the V36. Is there anyone that has it on their G?

Cheers!

I think you have your wheels on wrong. Looks like you have the fronts on the back and back on the front. Tires look like they have way to much sidewall.

The tires look weird is due to the tires being a square setup on a staggered set of rims.

hey Vic, can you show a pic of your rear G35s brakes? Did you not have akebonos to start, being an "X" model?

I'm doing a front BBK akebono upgrade but am going to wait on the rears, but if there is another option out there, Im interested.

Thanks, she looks good!

Currently i have the G35S rear rotors. Which the size is now 13". The X original rear rotor was 12.1". my friend gave me his calipers as he went full Akebono. To my surprise, the calipers are the same, but the bracket is whats different. All you do is swap your original bracket with the G35S bracket, and you can run 13" rotors. I wanted to do that is to even out the rotor size front to back.

I'll get some photos of the rear.
Thanks

Just realized I have 13" rear rotors (RWD), I guess the X models have smaller rear rotors from the factory.

*EDIT*
I don't want to hijack your thread. PM sent about a few details on your brake setup.

Are you sure?? The journey RWD sedans (non-S) should have 320mm front and 307mm rear. Only the base RWD & AWD coupes should have the 330mm (13" rotors).

If you have a G35S sedan, then they are 13"
If you have G35 Journey RWD sedan, they are 12.1"

And finally, if you have a single piston front caliper, then you have 13" front and rear.
If you have dual piston front caliper, then you have 12.1 rears as the front is 12.6"
