Wheels. Reasonably priced, stylish, crazy lightweight, and all kinds of sizes & offsets... Have you looked at the Forgeline F14 yet? It's particularly tasty in a gunmetal finish, IMO.

I was very seriously considering the F14 before buying VOSSEN.

You mean Forgestar? Robert K just felt a disturbance in the force for your error.

How much does a set of Forgestar's run anyways?

LOL, that's true. But Robert is looking at Caddy these days, so he may not notice that little slip.

Price... For 18", around $350/each. Redonkulously lightweight in 18" size, too.

And Niche is worth researching. Honestly, I only recently became aware of niche. Good luck finding weight stats on those rims, however.

Worth a look, wheels are lightweight and go for about $550 each new, if tires are almost new it's a good buy (if you like the style that is)

Ehhhhh, those don't really do it for me. I'd have to pay a couple hundred extra for shipping on top of that anyways.

GFN, those Interlagos take a great studio photo, but I've yet to see a picture of them mounted on a car that's appealing. It's kind of a weird thing. Also, you can't tell in that shot, but the Interlagos has a "mirror" surface that's so highly polished that it goes over the top, IMO. The overall design is very clean, but the finish is kind of tacky.

In the theme of those two designs, (light-weight, 9 to 10 spokes), have you considered the Enkie RSM9? You'd have to go up to 19's in order to clear the BBK, and are paying a good price for a proven quality manufacturer, but nothing crazy out there like the cost of Forged rims.

I like that. I just found these on Tirerack while looking for more pictures of the RSM9.

Too much silver?

Hard to tell in that picture. Almost looks unreal, like a shopped rim.

Not for nothing, but a 15-spoke wheel will be a PITA to clean and wax. Also, isn't your OEM wheel already a 15-spoke design? I mean, between the two, I prefer this one over the OEM rim, but I also know nothing else about the wheel.

from my research I found limited info and I remember it was pretty heavy for 18"...around 26-32 lbs. I was researching the niche targa.

However, the: "custom forged Niche Targa T14 in a 19x9 front and 19x10.5 start at $4300" plus shipping. this was the quote I got.

For the Interlagos, I got quoted: "a set of 19x8-9.5 Matte Black TSW Interlagos wheels for $999." plus shipping. Very tempting but I went with the ARK exhaust

I had a brief period of considering the array of responses and just responded with "I...see....." (damn, damn, double damn. You get an opening like that once in a million years and I wasted it). She asked if I could fix her bumper, all it took was to push the dented area out and use a heat gun to shape it.

Over the last month or so, I suppose people have felt comfortable enough to start approaching me to talk about my work. I park next to the door to the garage, so people walk by. The most common question is "what's wrong with it?"

"Not fast enough "
LMAO, this was probably the funniest thing ever. Your reaction was priceless! Great thread man, your progress is my motivation lol.

Okay, I was inspecting the car this morning and the tread depth gauge puts me a hair over 4/32" on all four wheels. That's a little concerning since I have Bridgestone S-04 Pole Positions and around 15K on them. Maybe that's normal.

ANYWAYS. The real question now is what do I change to? I still like the looks of the STR 610's (640 shipped, no tires), and the price can't be beat. There's also a set of the G35 19" Rays I can get locally, the pics look clean with what appears to be a nice set of PSS tires for 850 picked up.

I'll be contacting N4S today to see about getting a set of Avante Garde M510's shipped with tires to me.

What would YOU do? I live in an apartment complex, so space is somewhat at a premium, and having an extra set of wheels laying around would be annoying. Should I just sell my stock wheels + whatever is left on the tread and get new wheels+tires as a sole set?
