My only recommendation at this point to make the colors work even better together, is to eliminate chrome from headlights and trunk finisher spoiler. I'd probably either put and OEM spoiler on or color match what you have. headlights, I'd go with a gloss black (Obsidian black is nice) to match the grill and wheels. Subscribing to this thead. Keep up the good work
Blnewt said the same thing...and I tend to agree. I think a color matched OEM spoiler or maybe a gloss black one would be sweet. I plan on getting a AK V2 diffuser in gloss black as well. Didn't you have one before? You took it off and then painted instead? Did you not like the diffuser?
I think the headlights are little bit out of my expertise but I want to get some. Who did you get yours through? I would like to do the iron man thing and yeah...gloss black and leave the orange side marker to pick up the caliper color.
I am also thinking of doing a front spoiler and maybe side skirts. Side skirts color matched but the front gloss black. I am considering the roof gloss black but do not want the car to look rice or "too much".
Thanks for all the props...my ride has a LONG way to go before it is as sweet as yours!

That would make the black roof really go well if that's what you decide. Of course the headlights will need some attention down the road w/ all you've done thus far Just be sure to swap the TSX lenses when you do for the perfect "pop".
Car's looking sweet bro!
Brad,
I totally agree the chrome is starting to look out of place. I want a little bigger spoiler so maybe the OEM one that fits over the chrome done in gloss black or color matched. I have been considering the debadge....just need to "bite the bullet" and do it!
Do you think the roof would look good? My neighbor thinks it will be too much. I am not sure at this point. Definitely doing the backs of the mirrors gloss black.
On the lights....I am not even going to try that on my own. I just want to buy some and have them swapped out. Who would you recommend?

Just FYI! you can remove the sound damping cloth from the top of your hood. It's not for heat it's for sound.

Raul @ 180 custom will do it top-notch. You've been pretty damn good at DIY thus far, I think YOU should do it, it'll give you pride of a job well done IMO. It's a bit time consuming and I can give you some tips prior to separating the light covers, that's the only real PITA part of the process. With your taste in mods I think you could come up w/ a killer paint combo in there
The trunk spoiler that replaces the chrome would be a good plan and IMO the black roof would go well, it's not something you see much from the front or side but as a whole it would go well once you get the spoiler, mirrors and lights handled. Keep it up, going well!

Blnewt_ unless 180 custom now has an employee named "Raul", I think you have your names mixed up.

The options for headlight work that I would recommend are either Alex with 180customs out of NYC or Raul with SoCal Driven out of Cali. My headlights w/ ironman were done by 180customs. Either way you can't go wrong. As for the AK diffuser, there was nothing wrong with it. I took it off after I installed the HKS exhaust because I didn't want anything that would get in the way of displaying the exhaust lol just love how the mufflers sit back there. If I had to get a an AK diffuser again, I'd probably do the V2 though. It's a lil more aggressive and provide a lil more space around the exhaust tip.

brake question for all you experts - Little help here!

hey I was wondering if you could guys help me out with something. If ya have been following my build ya know I just finished all my mods on my brakes:
New DBA rotors / new Hawk HPS pads / ATE Super blue fluid and Goodridge SS lines. I bled the brakes in the prescribed manner and everything seem to bleed well. When I drove it to seat the pads they felt a little spongy. Definitely not as stiff as stock. I took them to the dealer and they bled them again and they still feel spongy. I think something is wrong....like an air bubble or something in the master cylinder. I find myself pumping the pedal twice all the time now to get them to "firm" up. Pedal doesn't fade and the brakes work good...but the pedal is spongy and drops way more than it used to. What do you guys think is up? I gotta think that after 2k in brakes upgrades that the pedal should feel better than OEM not worse. Feeling very frustrated....

ok...so I picked up some swift springs today...new from a forum member. Cant wait to get them on. Going to document the fender height before and after the install. Hoping for 1" in rear and 1.25" in front. Went with Swift over Eibach as I might team them up with some Koni yellows.....since this is my DD I want to keep the drop mellow.
So the Whiteline sways are going on as well as the Swift and then the only thing left for this cycle is the FI CBE which is due in about 2 weeks.
I am also adding black vinyl to the mirrors and maybe the roof......also getting a AutoKits V2 diffuser in gloss black when I get the CBE. I want to keep that GS and gloss black theme going.
Then I can start saving for the next round....hope to do headlights / fog lights / and maybe a tuner. Not sure what else...maybe a debadge....and a front splitter and side rails...anyone else got some ideas?

ok....so all the parts are finally here except my FI CBE. Next week or so I will be doing Swift springs and Whiteline sways and also having my brakes flushed and replacing with Motul RBF 600. I know I might need a camber kit once I add the springs, but I want to wait until the shop does the install and only buy what I need....hopefully rears at the most.
In the meantime I did a complete head to toe detail. This is one of my specialties and I pride myself in having the cleanest G around.
This included full clay bar using Pinnacle’s Ultra Poly Clay, and full polish with Menzerna SF 4500 - SuperFinish PO85RD. I used a Flex FLEX XC 3401 Orbital Polisher over the whole car except where the clear bra is. Those areas I did by hand, but they did get clayed, and polished just like the rest of the car. Then I used Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 and let it sit for a couple of hours. This product takes a full 12 hours to cure fully and the car cannot get wet while curing. I have been using the Menzerna and Wolfgang prducts for years and they really work well and my paint stays sealed for 6 moths and always feels like butter. I do wax once a month (sometimes more!)using either Wolfgang Füzion Estate Wax or Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax. I usually only do the Wolfgang wax every couple of months as that stuff was pricey....it is a great wax and has the Wolfgang paint sealer built into it. The Pinnacle is a rocking product as well. All of the products are non staining for rubber, and VOC friendly. So after the paint sealant cured over night, I did two coats of the Pinnacle Signature Series II Carnauba Paste Wax. This is a pure carnauba and can "stack" - Apply multiple coats for added depth. Waxes that have cleaners or polishes in them cannot stack.
The metal flake is really popping and the paint feels so smooth. Sweet.
The inside got a full detail as well with a nice carpet clean, leather scrub, and a protective wipe using Pinnacle products on the inside. Needless to say...the car looks and smells better than new.
I still have some additional sealing to do on the rims (already have two coats of wheel wax on them) and I also did a quick wipe on the engine.
If I do say so myself...she looks sweet.
If anyone has any questions on how to fix swirls, holograms, oxidation, etc...hit me up. Been doing this type of work for years and can give some tips on my techniques as well as recommend some good products.

Next update I will have pictures of Sophia on her new springs and stance.

I just finished reading your build thread for the first time. All I have to say is wow. The detail and the style of the work is very impressive. Your color scheme choice is pure class. I love the engine bay and especially your caliper work, but the mods as a whole really flow nicely together. Sorry just had to gush a minute there lol. Seriously tho tight ride man.
