Love the constant updates of this build...also extremely impressed how fast it is coming along. Hell my exhaust took longer to get fabbed onto my car than the entire motor removal and test fit lol.

Hahaha, I think the "doodad" I identified was a business card. lmao me dumb.

Are you going to use a thermostatic plate for the cooler, or just run it all the time? I guess that would make sense in Dubai since it isn't going to get that cccold.

Beautiful project. As far as the turbo hitting the side, it looks like there is room to raise the motor a little bit for more clearance, or is there a specific reason it's at where its at

According to this pic:

You'd have to lift the engine up a good amount before the clearance becomes sufficient, which would make fitting the tranny almost impossible. I don't think the transmission can go any higher than it actually sits right now. I also have plans for a strut bar in a place and don't want to sacrifice that either

Would it be the end of the world if the compressor touched the body for a few seconds every now and then? I believe the turbine has a little more clearance.

If that's the case I would surely notch the sheet metal so it doesn't scrape

Looking good. It seems to be coming along nicely Sam, consistent progress on a regular basis is a good thing.

So your car's not going to be one of those horror stories of FI installs that we see far too often these days? I'm not going to click on the Vendor Feedback Forum and see that you started a thread titled "Abdul's Race Shop and Camel Breeding Emporium kept my freaking car 16 months for a motor swap and turbo install!!!"?

1,000cc injectors and (2) 340 fuel pumps, might as well keep a 55 gallon fuel drum in the trunk

What kind of numbers are you looking for? I know the RB26 bottom end can withstand a good amount of abuse. Does the RB30 use similar pistons / rods?

Haha I almost went for a surge tank and custom fuel tank but then I found out I'll be high 24/7 in the car from all the fuel smell

Too early to discuss numbers though

Definitely make sure you do something about starvation if you are sticking with the same tank, and if you plan on tracking the car at all.

Mine starves anywhere below 1/2 tank in hard right hairpins.
