Shocks or Struts? HELP

So ever since I’ve bought my car, I’ve noticed there’s a clunking noise. I’ll start off by saying it’s a 2012 G37X Sedan. I’ve replaced both Lower Control Arms, Inner and Outer Tie Rods, CV axles, and wheel hub assemblies. (All front end) and the clunking still resides! My next guess is the shocks/struts, but I can only find Strut assembly’s online. Do we not have shocks? I’m looking at getting the pre-assembled strut tower from 1aAuto. Comes with spring, strut mount, and the strut itself. Also, when I go over bumps my steering wheel shakes left and right. (Like it’s turning) so that’s why I think my struts/shocks are bad.

Shocks in the front, Separate strut and spring assembly in the back. Rock Auto has KYB brand for both that are a great replacement. If replacing struts, no need to replace the spring IMO.

Definitely shocks and struts, grab em from rockauto. Rears have shock and strut separately and the fronts are combined.

I tried finding the shocks on Rockauto and didn’t find anything for the front. Rear only. The only thing I can find in the front is a strut assembly. I’d rather not have to use a spring compressor and remove the springs. Sounds like a PITA to me, but if you recommend I just grab the strut without spring and swap them, I might do that. But could you post a link to struts + shocks for the front? And do you guys think that’s what is causing my clunking??

Ahh your correct. I don't think I've seen a quick strut for and awd model. Not from a reputable company anyway

This is all I’ve found for a quick assembly. But for the life of me I CANNOT find any shocks for the front.

I just want to get rid of the clunking, smoothen out my ride, and get rid of the shaking over bumps in my steering wheel. I’ve wanted to do it since I bought the car.. brought it to multiple shops and everyone said they either couldn’t replicate the sound or didn’t see anything wrong with my car at all. I later brought it to be aligned and was told my control arm bushings were bad as well as my tie rods. Helped a little bit of creaking on turns but over bumps it’s still there.

At this point i would grab kyb struts all around and keep your current springs. Yeah it'll be a bit of pain but it'll be worth it

You said there are for sure shocks in the front on AWD? Wouldn’t you think that is what makes the clunking and shaking more so than the struts? I just don’t want to throw any more money than I already have at the car without solid results. If there’s shocks, where the hell csn I find them? May as well replace them at the same time while my suspension is torn apart.

Front has shock and struts in one assembly. Rears are separate.

Shop told me the sway bar links are good. I was torn between sway bar links and shocks/struts, but the shaking in steering wheel over bumps makes me wanna lean towards struts. And given the shop told me they’re good, but I’ve had a few shops tell me everything in my suspension is good and tight and then another tells me my control arms and tie rods are bad.
