370z steering?

Out of curiosity, what is the steering ratio for 6MT sedans? How about for the 370?

I know the 6MT has a quicker ratio than the Journey, but it still feels a bit sluggish and I find myself doing 3-point turns where my RX8, of a similar length, would have just went. So I wonder if the 370Z would have a rack that would fit and would be even quicker.

Steering ratio does not determine the turning radius.

That said, here is what Google says the the turning radius is:
2013 G37 Sedan - 17.7'-18.05'
2019 370z - 16.4'-17.05'
2011 RX8 - 17.4'

OK, now that I parse through the mechanics of it, I get that. And the technical turning radius isn't much different than the '8.

I guess what I'm asking is, could I change the turning radius? As in, in far too many instances I'm hitting the steering stops and not being able to complete a turn. Like I'm driving a Crown Vic and not a sports sedan.

You'll have to increase the length of the Pittman arm or tie rods to reduce the turning circle.

Id be curious what your trying to do. I can make a complete U-Turn in two standard lanes.

+1

NC is a legal U-turn state, I never have a problem busting a U-turn.

I cannot make a u-turn on a two lane road without running onto the shoulder. AFAIK and Carfax report, the car's never been in an accident but I suppose the steering rack could have been replaced.

The car has cheapo 20" rims on that that are pushed out to the wheel well lip (although not rubbing) - would that make a difference?

Looking underneath the car, nothing looked damaged or suspiciously newer than other parts. Springs and swaybars look OEM. Tie rod boots are in good shape so I've no idea if they've been messed with. Car tracks straight and no visible camber so I'm guessing alignment is close to norm. The tires feel a little buttery at highway speeds, but they are crappy tires and that is a known issue with them.

/ Getting tires on the OEM 18s as soon as I sell the gap car
// Will get alignment then too
/// 2013 6MT Sedan - other than the wheels, stock

Clean carfax doesn't mean a thing. I have had more than one car with a known accident that carfax came back clean.

I know, but that's really the only way I can tell if a used car from unknown dealer has been in any substantial accident - if repairs were done by a decent shop. A cheapo shop leaves signs on the frame/paint/suspension.

Might be. Need to get the gap car's airbag light issue fixed and get rid of the darn thing so I can put good rubber on the OEM wheels.
