hey guys my car has a problem, while im driving it doesnt go past around 2k rpm. i put my foot to the floor and literally nothing happens, it even slows the car down. randomly every once in a while, it gives me back the power for a few seconds then it goes back down. so when i stop at a light and im trying to go it takes me about 30 seconds to get to 60kph. anyone know what this problem is??

ya it came on and my mechanic said i had no brake fluid and something about the traction control was wrong. he said to bring it in another day cuz he'll need half a day to figure out whats going on and to fix it. when i left it was running how it always does then like 30 mins later it went back to doing the same thing. im gonna take it in but im wondering if the low brake fluid would be the only problem

 

So are you incapable of checking the brake fluid level and adding it if necessary?

Low oil pressure? That usually sets the car into limp mode.

 

Low brake fluid will not cause your car to go into limp mode. Limp mode is to protect the engine and emissions gear.

 

i dont think its just the brake fluid thats why i read somewhere the problem can be the cat

I would scan the code and report back what it is. Limp mode happening like that is usually something pretty serious going on.

Did you change your wheels from the stock sizes so the traction control is always kicking in?
