Hoping a PS pump replacement won’t be necessary...
prior to taking it anywhere, you can give the below quick easy fix a try. This is what worked for me:
get a skinny turkey baster, or 2 way pump (autozone sells them for fluid transfers).
suck out as much fluid possible from the power steering resevoir. Refill with fresh fluid and leave the top for the reservoir off. Turn wheel back & forth slowly (don't over do it lock to lock). Just enough to work any air bubbles from the system. Put the top back on and daily drive it.

Wait a day or so after some driving and do it again. Can repeat the process until it gets better. I think it took me 3 or 4 times. You don't have to use the fluid i did, but I'm putting a pic in for what worked for me.

^thanks for the tips, will definitely try.

Btw, when did you have a full PS fluid flush done? Thinking I’m probably due for it at 36k miles, maybe I’ll just bring it in for that to see if the fluid fixes the issue...

i was in this thread for the whine probably in the 40k range. I haven't done a full flush, just the above and have been fine since. I'm at 66k now.
